Cypress Bend

No it is not necessary. Pirates Cove, Big Bass, I know these because I fish on the south end.

Just need to see if they have anything else scheduled for that day.

http://www.cypressbend.com/

Big Bass 318-586-4721

Pirates Cove (318)565-4467

San Miguel Park (318) 645-6748

There are others that other people may be familiar with.

huntin fool 03-17-2010 08:04 PM

jchief 03-17-2010 08:05 PM

My paw-in-law has a camp in cozy point, i'll ask him tomorrow is he knows how much they or if they have any left.......there is also wildwoods which is right next to cozy point, it has a nice boat launch too.

jchief 03-17-2010 08:31 PM

I am going to see about a couple of launches to use for the tournament. Will post what I find.

Where would everyone prefer to fish, south (Big Bass/Pirates) mid lake (San Miguel)?

Mid lake would give you an option to run north or south without burning 100 gallons of fuel

fishmaster911 03-17-2010 08:46 PM

U can try Tranquility Bay Resort !

Sunrise

Sunrise for the 12th is about 6:15. How about you can start fishing at 5:45 anywhere and have to be in the weigh in line by 3:00? That way you don't have to run in the boat if you don't want to and give the smaller boats an equal chance?

Fool, not trying to take over, just putting ideas/thoughts out there.

adamsfence 03-17-2010 09:32 PM

so did yall go with june 12th.......If so i can't go we are having kids birthday party that weekend. Figures, one of these days im gonna make one

Big Flounder 03-17-2010 09:37 PM

I'm down. Me and my buddy Stan will fish it. Need to know the date though cause June 25th weekend I am fishing Grand Isle.

2ndamendment 03-17-2010 09:38 PM

I am good with June 12th at Cypress Bend. In fact we will be at Cypress bend in 20 more days(week after Easter). Fool we camp at Cypress Bend numerous times throughout each summer. Tournaments are held at this location all the time, due to the availability to handle large numbers. There are roughly 8 to 10 rental cabins there and more than enough RV spots as well. Then of course up the road from the RV area you have the actual Cypress Bend resort(hotel) and golf course. The boat launch surface area for your comparison Fool is like a Walmart parking lot. Very nice facilities there. Covered areas for weigh ins, playground for W I mean kids, beach swimming area and piers.

huntin fool 03-17-2010 09:38 PM

June 12th i beleive.

Big Lake Blondie 03-17-2010 09:52 PM

or the weekend after the 12th...I'll already be there for a reunion :D

Shawn Braquet 03-17-2010 10:40 PM

bay boat is ready just decide on a date so i can book a cabin, anyone know if there are big cabins? i know south toledo bend state park had one may be fun for a group of us to rent a big one. Just my .02

2ndamendment 03-18-2010 09:24 AM

Shawn the cabins at Cypress Bend are two bedrooms I believe. At South TBSP there are cabins that can hold groups of people, as well as, some smaller two bedroom also.

QUACKHEAD 03-18-2010 12:19 PM

I'll make it and BBook will also. Camps about 8 miles south of Cypress Bend close to Big Bass. Big Bass would be a nice place also. They have trailers to rent and travel trailer parking also.

jpeff31787 03-18-2010 01:06 PM

i didn't get to read all the comments, but you can do a fishing rodeo. We used to fish one and there were 4 categories.

Biggest 5 Bass Stringer
Big Bass

Biggest 5 Sacalait Stringer
Biggest Sacalait

Biggest 5 Bream Stringer
Biggest Bream

Then single biggest odd fish

It was really fun because a lot of people got to win and everyone fished there favorite species.

Just an idea...
