One barge is stopped just to the north of the first house visible by river on South Perkins Ferry.

Don't know if it will do any goo, but I emailed Charles Boustany, Mary Landrieu and David Vitter.

I did read an article on the problem w/ giant salvina in the river and that once it hit the salt water it would die. All the tree tops and logs will keep the salvina from floating down stream and reaching salt water??? The artical did say they were using weevils for control above a certain point on the river.
