I'd had to bust some reds! I'm definitely ready for some more grilled half shells!!!!!

I must a been in the wrong place. I can say we saw tons of shrimp when we were in a certain area. No fish, but tons of good shrimp everywhere around us.

Private lake!... They'll likely never tell!

jlincecum 10-15-2010 09:15 PM

reefs and bait mostly. had a few birds working late this afternoon

jchief 10-15-2010 09:17 PM

We went looking for birds. There were not a whole lot working. Saw some in Turners along with several boats.

Hope to try again tomorrow.

i could give you the exact spot but the catching is up to you. just ask the skeeter that stayed well within casting distance for most of the morning. only saw him pull in 5-6, even told him what we were throwing

Josh....saw you guys out there today on the reef by the skeeter! ;-) (Think i was off the edge of the reef...left my fishfinder/Josh....saw you guys out there today on the reef by the skeeter! ;-) (Think i was off the edge of the reef...left my fishfinder/GPS at the house) Glad y'all had a good time...and Jeremys voice travels well over the water LOL We did pretty good too...almost knocked out 2 man limit, but didn't get out til almost 11. Also picked up a few nice trout from observing monster shrimp skitterwalking the top of the water on the way back to calcasieu point (didn't see any birds). Beautiful Day and Great Weather. Wish it'd stay like this all year long. (Man was there a lot of boats out today...and i think 50% of them were castnetting for shrimp. I'll stick to Mon-Wed )

You are an exception down here then! Most folks I have encountered won't tell you hello, so I have noticed! I don't like to bother people too much and usually like to give em a couple hundred feet or more so maybe that's why they don't tell me anything.

Despite only getting to only fish the beach with Paul Myers last time, I am still hoping that someone will eventually get me out on Big Lake someday! Would even be willing to make the drive just for that. May have to wait till Paul gets that boat he's been talkin bout buying!
