Hydro, the only canal that maybe an issue is far north west corner but I have ran all over the west pool with no issue unless getting stupid when water is low and getting in the flats..... unless its been removed there was a piece of pipe on the north side of the levee that now splits the west pool towards east end of levee, its under water and several people have hit it.

Anyway to mark the pipe on a map and post ?

Thanks,
Hydro

I am not sure of exact location since I don't run that side of levee but general location would be.... If you launch at new launch, which puts you into sw pool, run south to the first levee and if you run north side the pipe is a few hundred yrds west but I always run on south side of that levee or I fish out of old launch further north.

Which launch is which (new/old) ? Never fished there, flown over it 100's of times...

When you drive into the refuge the road will come to a split and old launch is to the right but if you go straight at the split there's a newer launch which will allow launching to both sides of the road.... if you decide to use old launch make sure you pay attention to "end of ramp" sign
