I'd give myself a 7 but that's BL only and GI sometimes. Anywhere other than that I would be in a bind finding fish. I ain't bass fished outside a pond in years.

I have replayed the scenario about 1000 times in my mind and there is nothing I could have done different... I'm pretty sick about it...thanks for rubbing it in |

I know how you feel. I lost one last year that would have been a contender to win the STAR! Spit the hook 4 feet from boat.

In all seriousness........the older I get the less I care about catching.......I can really fish all day just to help my son catch them.
I have been blessed.
Don't have a trophy trout yet......but I've got a 10.12 oz. Bass that I released.......a red that went 42 INCHES in the surf that I released and a red snapper that went 27 pounds that well.......I did not release.
I have 154 yellow fin on a Penn 30 stand up gear. I 50 pound Wahoo on the same trip.
I guess I am pretty good when the fish co-operate.
But I can't wait for shuggas to catch her first fish in the back yard pond and then at the camp and then off the coast and then off shore and then.........who knows

I had a 1st place fish on my stringer get eatin by a shark along with a 2nd place fish ! N I have the pics to prove it lol !!! |
