it makes you a d-bag by saying they "should have protected themselves" ....almost like you are saying its the victims fault . how is that being a realist?

I refuse to be a victim! I am always aware of my surroundings and trust no one when not around friends. I am consistantly watching what people do. Guess being confronted with automatic weapons at one point in my life will do that to one.

Again,I am one that refuses to be a victom and will do everything in my power not to be.

Indeed this is todays enviroment, adapt or parish

*** is this world coming to. I don't know if the news is jumps on everything now and this is something close to home but it seems like this is happening more and more. That property in NW Montana is sounding better every week.

Prayers for all of the families involved in this incident.

They should have. This is not meant to be disrespectful in any way pox but I bet you would not let your wife go anywhere you couldn't protect her or she wasn't allowed to protect herself. You would want to know she is always safe and protected. Always. My original point was places like the grand make it easy for bad people to do bad things. Screw their policy. Bring your damn gun or don't go. Admittedly I always have a bad way of wording things.

The National "news" outlets have picked up the shooting.

No doubt the politicians, much like some of the posters on this thread, will use this shooting to help them further their agenda about gun control.

okay i will rephrase that to say my family chooses not to be an unarmed victim. If we have weapons we may be able to save one or two lives, maybe not my own but if i can save yours it's worth it to me. If i am not armed i am guaranteed to be a victim.
