I hope y'all have a great tourney, and I'm sorry that I won't be making it this year.

Late summer just got too busy travelling all over the south for my daughter's F-Class matches, several research projects, being an expert witness in a murder case, etc.

In the time crunch, it became clear that we could only squeeze in one tournament, and my 14 yo son really wanted to take his kayak down to GI and compete in Ride the Bull because it focusses more on what he likes to do.

Someone go out and catch a big drum for me, cause y'all all know I regard the angler who catches the biggest drum as the real winner of the SC tournament.

Have fun, be safe, and post lots of pictures so I can enjoy this thing vicariously. Wish I was there...

What is a calcutta?

mr crab 07-31-2015 09:01 AM

Calcutta is an auction where participants bid auction style on the fishing teams. Once all the bidding is over, all the momey goes into a purse. Whoever bid the highest on team has the best weight wins the $$ in the purse
