Bring it up about 6", your "dragging" right now.

Hmm where the plate suppose to line up then ? Cux right it its lined up right below the hole with the screen cover over it .
|
Well I'm confused cux I looked up different websites and most are saying line up the plate to the bottom of boat transom but now I'm getting feeds saying too low from fish fighter and b Sealth so can y'all tell me how is it too low or dragging? Cux I want to be sure it's able to use for my motor before I actually buy a throttle box .

You can use the motor it's good.
When mouthing an engine on the transom you want the cavitation plate even with bottom of hull when the engine is trimmed level. But there's 2 things about your setup will allow you to run your engine higher: 1- The small "pocket tunnel" 2- The jackplate. |
Thanks b-Sealth I am feeling better now knowing that I do not need to change my motor .

When your idling or cruising adequate water pressure prob won't be an issue even with jack-plate all the way up. Most likely you will lose water @ WOT with engine trimmed out, so keep a close eye @ this point because things can go downhill very quick. Speaking from 1st hand experience, I didn't burn the engine up, but I lost water pressure and the prop still had lots of bite left and I was still accelerating. |
