What pitch prop are you running also? The only reason I ask is that the Haynie web page says 60mph with a 225, That extra 7mph is gotta be coming frome some where?

"W" 06-23-2011 12:13 AM

I don't think that sho could take me....and if it was choppy...he would be toast,,,,

Not sure exact weight but I'm light.... I hit over 64 with 3\4 tank of gas and two of us..... I would have to clean my prop back up but I'm sure I could hit 67..... We hit 62 with 4 in it last week and I have some dings in prop

Brovo prop

Wide Open 06-23-2011 12:18 AM

Gottcha!

huntin fool 06-23-2011 12:20 AM

You better have less than a 1/2 tank to hit 67... all you need to be worrying about is the jug run son.

Wide Open 06-23-2011 12:22 AM

If Your getting 64.5 with 40 gal of gas two people and gear your doing pretty darn good. a little to good for my beliefe , but possible I guess?

I wonder what the Z21 would run like with a 250 pro XS on it?

"W" 06-23-2011 12:25 AM

Ask LaAngler.....he was in the boat...he will not lie.... There is a post on here some. Where

And I said half tank of fuel ... Only have 42 gal tank....so about 20-25 gals when we hit over 64

Wide Open 06-23-2011 12:26 AM

Hey Monty did I read some where that your dad has 22 Skeeter with a VMAX that runs purty good?

huntin fool 06-23-2011 12:28 AM

Buddies phoenix bass boat runs 80-82 with a 250 sho if I remember right.. just sayin

"W" 06-23-2011 12:29 AM

My boat don't run in gay waters like the Intercoastal... It likes open range!!! Run it in real time conditions of every day or stay home.....speed is useless if you can't do it but in protected waters!!!! I guess when its tourny time he cant run with the big dogs if the winds blowing..

Yeah he has a zx22 with a vmax 225 with a hydro tech tuner, reeds, and shaved heads. Runs 65-66 loaded. He loves speed, about to sell it to my good friend to get another bullet.

LOL you are something else. Nobody was talking about the conditions presented,it was all about speed. I bet a freeman cat can outrun you in 4 foot waves. :rotfl:

Yeah it runs good...it is a 2007 model,is lighter then what they have now. No front livewell or rear molded seats. He went to outboard racing dyno is mississippi and it was putting out 268 hp at the prop shaft on 91 octane. Turns a 24 pitch pro series 6,000 rpms

Wide Open 06-23-2011 12:40 AM

It is. Skeeters are slow, we run Bullets. My uncles Bullet hit 92 with a 225 Merc Pro Max and its a 1998...Brothers hit 90 with a 225 Evinrude and its a 1996. Both look sweet.

Montauk17 06-23-2011 12:42 AM

Keep in mind it is a regular fuel injected vmax, not a hpdi. They are much easier to mod.

Nice...I love the pre-hpdi vmax motors. Just putting the hydrotech exhaust tuner gains close to 20 hp. They are really choked off from the factory. The hydrotech sounds bad to the bone too.

Wide Open 06-23-2011 12:51 AM

Even stock the preme's rand darn good. drank a little too much but powerfull

Yeah it is a hell of a adrenaline rush. I drove my podnas allison a few times and hitting 100mph is awesome. Everything goes quiet and you get serious tunnel vision.

Wide Open 06-23-2011 01:11 AM

No, I did have a pretty fast mud boat though. 16/48 with 2in. spray rails on each side = a total of 52 on the bottom with a hopped up briggs pushing 70+hp running 42 mph cattycorner down da bayou wit no corrigation in da bottom. 29hrs later I cracked a cam, and 6hrs after that I cracked a block. Needless to say Im almost back to stock running 33mph.
