My neighbor at the camp has a ramp, so one night I decided to launch my flat, start the motor then park my truck back at my camp. After unloading a few things went to bring boat around & the motor is barely sticking out of the water. Good thing it was a shallow ramp. There were no witnesses untill now.

Henderson LA, probadlly 20 years ago, I was in a big hurry, by myself , forgot to undo the bow strap, backed boat in , it seemed to be stuck, I got out to inspect, released the winch and gave the boat a push, don't you know the wench handle made a full round ,caught me between the eyes rendering me unconscious, I fell between the trailer and truck in a fetal position some poor ununexpected gentleman came to my rescue, when I came too I was in a daze, thought for some reason old boy a sucker punched me so I started swinging, by this time I had an audience, they broke us up , an explain to me what had happen, old boy wife after all of that broke out a first aid kit patched my nose and off I went to finish my day

This happened to a dear friend of mine in PI. My buddies came back from fishing and were loading the boat. One being a rookie, the owner of the boat told him to hold the bow line while he backs the trailer down. Well i guess his eyesight was failing, because when the person turned around to back his boat down, he looks at his buddy, pulling with all of his might the rope, face red, as the boat is drifting away from the dock.

He was pulling on a rope that was tied to a cleat on the launch!!!!!!

A short swim later, they were back at the launch!
