I did see that scorpion 1000 xt for a decent price on japantackle.com they seem comparable to the chronarch E. |
What is the Jap reel for the core
|
Slightly lighter and tuned better than chronarch, and they have a 6:4:1 ratio

I have a core, and have yet to experience any corrosion issues.
However, I do follow the instructions and tighten drag all the way, run it under the sink while reeling, and then loosen drag all the way to air out. For those that have cores, how often do you oil them, where do you apply it, and what type of oil do you prefer? |

I will spray some reel magic on then every now and then |
