got a guy here in moss bluff with a 40hp merc that smoke that hinny and near about any other boat around
I have video of my Haynie 23LS doing 70mph and if I put my prop on W's boat it would be even faster. There is alot more to make a boat run fast than the motor. No 250 can come close to the 250XS(not pro) in speed.
Ill stick to my old carbed merc for as long as I can get parts!!!! Have no want for belts, air pumps, and oil changes
Evis...we need to talk....what size prop you have? I have never played with my prop yet...
Bravo 1 XS 26 pitch. It really made my boat run like it should. It will pop your boat up on the pad and runs the rpm of a lower pitch prop with the speed of a higher pitch. Also putting remote mounts on your trolling motor so you can stow it in the back for long runs will add mph. Between the prop and being able to put the trolling motor in the back I can see your boat hitting 70mph

No way you can turn a higher pitch prop. If you put a 26 pitch on it you will be around 4,800 rpm's at WOT. Way too low... |
I thinking its the last one.......
W.....I had a 19 on my boat and couldn't get it to the correct rpm range WOT........I switched to a 17 larger diameter prop and it got my boat out of the water faster, higher out of the water hole running, put me in the correct range WOT and gave me more top speed.......more pitch isn't always better!!! Just my experience |
