I'm not sure about the last part. I was reading the other day where the Black Panthers are threatening to take to the "white man's world" if there is a not guilty verdict since no one learned anything from the Rodney King riots.

Wow....they should focus on the statistic that shows 95% of black murders are black on black crimes.

The jury are supposed to be secluded from any news or commentary on the trial. Theoretically they should have no inclination as to the threats of riots if a not guilty verdict is reached. I really wish the cameras would have shown the jury so we could have seen their reactions to certain testimonies. Maybe I am naive, but I truely believe that justice will prevail in this case. The states entire case was riddled with reasonable doubt. If there was no evidence of a second degree charge, I cannot see where the evidence would substantiate a manslaughter charge. But then again, the judge shot down the defense's request of an acquittal quicker than I can blink. She actually said that there was both direct and circumstantial evidence to bring the charge to the jury. It's obvious that she doesn't want the blood on her hands IF riots were to occur. And that's a BIIIIIG IF.

$h!t is getting real right now! The state is trying to drop the 2nd degree charge and bring 3rd degree charges based on "child abuse." Apparently for 3rd degree, the state doesn't have to prove a depraved mind. Defense is pissed and only making the judge just as pissed. This is not looking good.

i predict convicted on manslaughter then that will be overturned by appeals court in 1 years time(keeps the judge and jury from being on the hook for an acquittal) as GZ sits in isolation/protective custody.

Defense has started their closing arguments. To this point he basically showed how the state's whole case is based on "what if." The clouds of reasonable doubt has been cast. Now as long as he doesn't digress to the point of aggravating the jury or yelling at them like the other buffon, GZ is sitting high now.

Damn I jinxed him. He's not doing as good as I thought he would. He does need a little more umph to his speech and some things he's saying could possibly be construed against GZ by the jury. He should have stood up and brought the reasonable doubt and sat the F down! He's basically talking down on the jury.

I feel like he has done better than the state. But not the best performance. I don't see enough for them to convict him other than just to please the crowd

A police officer or any citizen has a right to question someone if they look suspicious in their neighborhood.
