If I knew where this place was in Covington and had time, I would put a yardstick up right there where the cat was, take a pic from the exact angle and prove that is a housecat.

In 45 years of hunting across Louisiana, I have heard black panther reports from literally every part of the state. I have had numerous people SWEAR that they saw a black panther or cougar.
Sorry folks, they don't exist. The human brain is capable of making people see things that simply DO NOT exist. Once again, this is the case.
I've seen enough black housecats to recognize one when I see it and that pic is of a plain old, garden variety housecat.
