There were different variations of that bait made by Aborgast, somebody needs to reproduce it!

They will find another place to spawn and will not be stressed at all. Gotta post them Facebook pics baw. Can't be keeping them fish baws. Just take pics and release them

Boom, I bet somebody's but hurt over that one. I'm not on TheFacebook, but I can visualize what your talking about.

Yep.... that is a very old bait. I think I might have an old one in my "fresh" water tackle box.

If you Google Hawaiin Wiggler there''s an article in Sports Afield from 1936 about Fred Arborgast and this lure with the "hulu" skirt, pretty awesome!

Terrible analogy, but thanks for your participation.

places are different, for example I can count on one hand the amount of times I have kept calcesieu river bass, but I can count on one hand how many time ive caught and released at laccassine, there is such a strong population of fish in that place, I know, I fish it enough, no body goes b****ing when people keep fish like that in Toledo, people are just looking for an excuse to complain, I don't keep big fish because I don't like to clean them and they don't taste as good, if people spend there money and catch a big one and want to keep it, go for it, its leagal, they spent there money to go, let them do what they want to do

Haven't been on in years or posted in ages... Somethings never change lol

Top Dawg, ya crackin me up here. DAMN lmao. I recently sold my boat and a few other toys to build a house. My opinion is there is a limit at LAC for a reason. 10 bass per fisherman isn't going to rid the refuge of hawgs. I eat what I catch to a degree and think we all should. I prefer small bass and sac's to large bass. The reason of the refuge is to preserve the natural resources for current generations and those to come (waterfowl/fishery). They are putting something like 100K FLM per year in plus what is regenerated. I applaud them for doing so. I take my kids to enjoy our land for what it has to offer. Some folks just enjoy the thrill of the catch. I enjoy cookouts/frys with the family and friends and to each their own. Both sides have validity conservation / consumer. Just enjoy it while you can... I heard Killary is shutting all refuges down

>Any weedless topwater around cover
>Huge plastics weightless or through the vegetation
>Live bait, the bigger the better shhhhh

I try to keep as many of the 14 inch variety as I can eat. They taste better and you can catch plenty of them to eat. No need to keep the bigger fish. Both people are correct you dont know the genetics of a 14 inch fish. It may be the state record one day or could be a dud. However you do know the genetics of a big fish are good. That's why they are that size. I enjoy catching big fish and want my 2 yr old son to catch bigger fish than I ever have so I throw the larger ones back.
