Brother, we have so many real problems.

The threat of terror that we're discussing is definitely a real problem. So is poverty, crime, our crumbling infrastructure, the quality of our education (or lack thereof), our staggering debt, the way we treat our veterans ... unreasonable limits on red snapper, speckled trout, and redfish.

Seriously though. We have a lot of problems that we need to be addressing.

In my humble opinion, that's best done by addressing the ISSUE without regard to the race, religion or creed of the person sitting across the table.

Let's just all hold hands respect everyone's sensibilities. That will teach groups like ISIS a lesson...............

Not every Muslim is a terrorist but every terrorist is a Muslim.

It's called an Executive Order, issued by the POTUS.

You don't understand Executive Orders.

Executive Orders must still be lawful. An Executive Order will not be used to discriminate against an entire group of people based on their religion. Even if it's attempted, it will be challenged and it will fail. This is not a dictatorship.

Try again.

Trump's first day as POTUS

This is amazing that the same group of people that are so against additional gun control laws because most most gun owners are law abiding citizens are so quick to want to lump an entire group of people in the category of terrorists and put restrictions on them.

Guys I'm going to bow out of this thread. I think we are on the same page as to what some of the problems are, but we don't see eye to eye on potential solutions. Whether or not the candidate I vote for wins the election I hope whoever gets it does a good job. [emoji106]

Didn't have to.

The Supreme Court found his Executive Order was lawful. But, he already knew that because he's a Constitutional scholar. That's what happens when you're knowledgeable.

Our friend, Donald Trump, on the other hand ....

Actually, I'm an Independent. I have never been a member of either party. Never voted strictly on party lines.

As my username says, I'm a renegade. I don't blindly follow anyone.

I just have an aversion to lies. And bigotry.

So you don't think Obama has walked all over the Constitution since he has been in office?

Less than George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon ... should I go on? Executive Orders are not unusual and have a legitimate purpose in our system of government.

Which one? The only one his opponents thought they could challenge legally. And they failed.
