:smokin: I can say one thing looking at the videos of the haynies run on their site and you tube they sure get the bow up and the boat out of the water. I would imagine it contributes to the numbers their getting out of them.

Once I found a prop that would carry the bow up and have enough stern lift to get the boat on it's step pad, it was like a whole new boat. When I get my boat around 5k rpm and start trimming it out, you can feel it pop up and speed up.

You like the bravo 1 xs? Ive been told by another person to try and give that prop a shot, this has me real curious now on how it will do on my rig. Im running 21 Tempest, and I belive the Bravo 1 XS starts at 22pitch soo I dont know if I could wing it without bogging the motor.

Are you sure it is a 22" prop? I've been told you can't have negative slip. (I used the gear ratio listed on merc website)

"W" 06-23-2011 04:56 PM

100 % -ts a 22

If its a cupped prop you have to add one inch to pitch... not sure if his is though just throwing that out there

I'm running the same prop and was curious about what the slip was compared to mine. I'm running at 11% slip. If I add cup will it cut down on my slip and improve performance? Is it worth it?
