You gotta bounce da hen so much they don't have to warp.

true... you have to leave them in open sight so everyone can see how much of a hardcore duck killer you are... might as well have a marsh life sticker or a louisiana sportsman sticker on your truck too... :shaking:

Spoke with my farmer this morning. They let all the water off our property this summer because the salinity was so high from this past winter flood in PI. They bush-hogged everything and allowed fresh vegetation to grow. They have been testing the salinities and now the water they are letting in is completely fresh. Starting pumping water back on last week. Should be jam up. New land owners are really doing a better job managing the prop so I can't complain too much about him going up on price.

Awesome news. It's always better when you get a farmer/landowner who will play ball. Good luck.

That's why I don't do that. Have to much money in those things just to be laying in the sun.

Talked to a buddy in SE mizzou last night. He said they saw teal moving by the thousands in our direction all weekend long.

Went and brushed a blind this weekend in GC, water was pretty low in the marsh but I made it there with the push pole. When I got to the blind I didn't pull my boat up enough onto the bank, I started checkin out the blind and turned around...the boat floated halfway across the pond. Luckily I had a buddy waiting at the truck and could see him from the blind, he grabbed a pirogue and came pick me up to retrieve the wandering boat. This season is getting off to an interesting start already :p

bgizzle........................who are you on TD? Or did you get that off of DHC?

specktator 09-04-2013 09:09 AM

I saw a ton of squeelers on my place last weekend. They just sit on the levee. You can ride right up to them before they fly away then they only fly 30-40 yards and land again.
