That is what they are supposed to do.

jldsc 02-14-2012 10:06 PM

nope..straight out the back of the radio no fuse or fusable link between speakers and output...did you try and toggle the fade back and forth to see if they would start playing again..

Montauk17 02-14-2012 10:08 PM

Just get a alpine head unit and JL speakers and be done with it.

"W" 02-14-2012 10:09 PM

Tried that and I have Zero rear or door ...just the high is working

weedeater 02-14-2012 10:10 PM

My 07 chevy does the same thing. Except my rear speakers quit and only the doors play.

phiboyy13 02-14-2012 10:28 PM

you got a chevy. my dad has a 2007 tahoe and all the door speakers went out and we changed them to bose speakers. the speakers put in chevys are garbage. my dad changed it himself and when he took them out the speakers were busted. try taking the interior of the doors out and check the speakers yourself and see how crappy they are. i posted a tread later back about it also. this was the front and rear door speakers.

ricky2110 02-14-2012 10:47 PM

Mine also just went out on my 07. Why does everything go to $hit after you pay them off?

mriguy 02-14-2012 10:50 PM

Changed front and rear on a 07 Silverado about 3 months ago.

"W" 02-14-2012 10:52 PM

There is no way all these speakers just went out....something had to come lose ...I'm taking dash radio out on side of road now........these highs are killing me

Montauk17 02-14-2012 10:53 PM

After 2006 when they came out with the new body style the quality has went down alot. My dad has a 2010 avalanche and he had problems with the speakers and power windows. My 1994 silverado is still kickin tail and taking names.

Voice coils are bad. Your going to have to replace them all.

mriguy 02-14-2012 10:59 PM

Just trade the truck in for a new one. Problem solved!

You could just turn the radio off and not hear the highs until you get home or somewhere better than the side of the road.
