Duck calls

Had a friend of the family die a few yes ago. Contact his wife recently to see his call selection I used to watch him build as a kid. She ended up parting with a few. There's some calls in pic that were bought and you can tell bc they aren't wood. But these are maybe half the calls I aquired. Along with alot of equipment to make em. My question is do y'all think they are worth any money. I can't keep all of them. Will keep half probably. But may be willing to part with some. They sound good and look great I think. Yea to get his work that he sold to ppl. He would've sold every one of them. So don't judge. I'm giving half of all profits to the widow so its a win win. I'm not selling all of them just a few. And I'm gonna try n make em 2

If you are making them you need to be a site sponsor to advertise on here. I was going to let it pass for the widow but if this will be an ongoing thing you will have to be a sponsor. I posted this in the open forum because I delete three of these a week and I wanted people to see why yours has not yet been deleted.

As long as you are just selling what the Widow has and hse is getting the money I am fine with leaving this thread up. Once you start making your own and selling yours that would be a different story. I would like to help the Widow out.

Please help me out, you are giving HALF OF THE PROFITS ON SOMETHING YOU DID NOT PAY FOR TO THE PERSON WHO GAVE THEM TO YOU?? Why don't you rethink your actions and give the person who gave those duck calls to you 100% of the money and pray for forgiveness.

Lake Chuck Duck 03-21-2013 04:18 PM

I'm not really seeing the problem here, calls been sitting in a closet for a few years, and probably would sit there for more years until the widow is gone. bgizzle is getting the mans work out into public hands(which is what the man wanted to begin with) and is helping out the widow with a lil money she otherwise would have never had to begin with. Come on people, its not like the old lady bought him a water heater or something!:D

Things to remind you of folks that passed don't always have to be tangible. Plus, what if he keeps the one he likes most and whacks ducks with it every season? How do we know this isn't the case?

What about the calls he will make with the equipment left to him? And the experience and knowledge gained? That's better than something sitting on a shelf in a lot of cases.

Let's not tell people how to live there lives and leave that to the liberals. Y'all act like he just shot a dolphin and asked for advice on skinning it!
