Now thats a quality trip along with quantity! Who says ya can't have both..dang it man! That trout in the first pic looks like something tried to eat part of her. Great job with all that wind!

I fish with five rods; 3 of them have mirrodines on'em. Seems this year them fish really like that flashing, slow retrieve that the mirrodines and catch2000 offers.. That's all we been catchin' on.

You don't have to convince me they work....the black top with orange belly is my go to bait. Bought the XL version have not had a chance to fish with them yet.

Mirrodines made a believer outta me Monday. Fish big and small were smacking them, the cheap imitation H2O Academy models, too!

How do you fish mirrodines? like a twitch bait retrieve? I have tried em a few times but never caught on em.

JA is right. I fished them extensively for the first time Monday. And I did it just like a Rogue or other surface slash bait, which I've been using with great success for years: Let it sink for a second or two, then I twitched it rhythmically twice, paused for a few seconds while reeling in the slack, repeat. I'm sure some others do it differently, but the main thing is to get it moving quickly and sharply to get it to turn and make that flash, just like an injured shad or pogie would do.

What I love about it is it's got some heft, unlike the Rogues and Slapsticks of the world, which are really hard to get much distance. The advantage with them, of course, is that lipped baits make that wiggle, which you can feel well.

Thanks, that helps, I never knew, so been tryin a "walk the dog" retrieve. I'll try it that way.
