Yep that would be a killin offense right there. Man I cant stand a critter that destroys stuff. Last lab I had I gave her away because I knew I would shoot her if I didnt. She dug up and killed a rose bush we had for 10 years. That was the last straw. Only thing that saved her that day was our son crying and begging me not to shoot her. She was gone within 48 hours.

Many years ago we got a new dog (shepherd/mutt puppy from the pound) for our young son. I pulled into the driveway one afternoon and noticed something hanging from my boat trailer. Dog had chewed the wires on both sides. Rewired the trailer. One day the next week I got home from work and saw the same thing. :pissed: Was ready to kick the **** out of the dog but hey, the empty plastic garbage can was sitting there so I kicked it instead. Turned out the heavy recycle basket was in the bottom so I broke a couple of toes. :hairout:

Kept the dog though and she turned out to be a pretty good friend.

He really doesn't do it a lot but he gets his money worth when he does. I gotta beat that *** 3-4 times a year. Don't leave underwear or socks where he can reach or that will get vacuumed up real quick. I got to buy about 2 -3 couch cushions a year. Attachment 56060
He is in jail now. He refuses to look at me.

The Boredom tip is true, and all this can be prevented with a kennel run.

My lab had 2 acres and was still a F up. Not arguing that its true they get bored. The lab I had was one high strung SOB unless she was huntin

Sometimes all the exercise in the world can't cure their boredom. They have to have a job or a purpose. I've only been able to train one day this week because of conflicting schedules and weather, and my dogs are driving me crazy, so I feel y'all's pain.

AceArcher 09-20-2013 05:48 PM

she's just bored and just like a kid needs to start a little shizz to get some attention every once in a while.

Lol our dog is just like that to.... if she does something wrong she won't look at you.

alphaman 09-20-2013 05:48 PM

Sd the real kicker was she dug up the same rose bush two days in a row. I beat her azz the first time. Got home the next day and was like "there aint no freaking way" but it happened. Rose bush couldnt survive that two days in a row. Had the rose for 10 years and the dog for 5. The dog had to go!

duckman1911 09-20-2013 05:55 PM

Clampy you have way more patience than me buddy. Have never owned a dog that contributed more than it consumed. Make you a cinder block couch. Problem solved.lol. Just joking

biggun 09-20-2013 06:29 PM

Sounds Like the making of a great episode of the Dog Whispher on Animal Plt.

Put the dog outside in some type of run or kennel wit ha few toys, when u all leave. A simple solution..

fishinpox 09-20-2013 06:33 PM
