New 2013 Chronarch

1 Attachment(s)
Came across some info on the 2013 Chronarch ahead of this year's iCast. Was planning on making the trip to vegas this year but can't due to some health reasons, so I have been snooping instead.

This real is supposed to be very similar to the Japanese Metanium... Should be available in a few weeks after the show wraps up.

Savage/Okuma also have some interesting stuff coming out for 2013....

Ha ha. I don't know about y'all but I only cast about 25-27 times to get my limit. My reels can weigh a pound.

"W" 07-08-2013 06:19 PM

Until Shimano can make one lighter than a core... Im sticking to a core

Wish they would make a lighter Curado...

Montauk17 07-08-2013 06:22 PM

Since you work for shimano what is the word on release date and price? I would like to buy one of those heavy reels. Will these have cereal numbers?

flounder_smacker 07-08-2013 06:24 PM

wish they would start making the old curado again.

flounder_smacker 07-08-2013 06:25 PM

also the guy in the video needs to s t f u

"W" 07-08-2013 06:33 PM

If shimano would make a reel same size at Core50mg 5oz with durability of old Curado's

Best reel ever

Salty 07-08-2013 09:07 PM

I remember, not too many moons ago, when W fished exclusively with a green Curado and a $50 All Star rod....claiming, even back then, that it was the best setup ever made.

Clampy 07-09-2013 06:09 AM

Well. Anyone he uses will be. Duh !

Shrimp tail special...best rod All Star ever made....still have one

And Curado is still the most reliable reel Shimano made!!!

Clampy 07-09-2013 09:17 AM

I got one of the old school shrimp tail specials on a old Chronarch. That rod is so perfect fishing a jig it's crazy. Loads up perfect on hook sets and the fish get bait deep.

Dude, don't try to minimize what everybody's sayin'. With time, I could dig up thread after thread that says if you ain't got this setup...you're wastin' your time fishin'. Then, you heard about that Core (from me first, I believe) and it's been the same with it and Waterloo ever "cents".

Dont be Mad!! Lmao

You will never find where I said anything bad about a Curado other than weight

And No i did not hear about the Core from you... My Shimano guy sent me a free one and said once I use this, i will never own another reel...

He was right!!

Clampy 07-09-2013 09:44 AM

Wish I had a " Shimano Guy".

Bet me the cost of one of them over-priced chunks of magnesium and I'll prove I'm right. I showed you a pic of the first Core you ever saw. You said it yourself and I can prove it. :smokin::smokin:

Have your hands gotten smaller the past few years? How the hell did you grip that Curado on a $50 All-Star? You "cast that all day" then, or, at least, claimed you did.

Here's your sign

Montauk17 07-11-2013 02:04 PM

http://www.basspro.com/Shimano-Chron...1306150615192/

Comes in a 7:6:1 ratio! It does look cheaply made for 270 bucks though....gunna have to try before I buy for sure. Looks like we can expect more of the same since they went downhill from the curado e series.

Why do you need to cast all day? I thought you limited out by 6am every time you went out?

Keep reaching little guy. Almost there! Friggen duck.
