You da man! Congrats!

How big was it?

MY SPOT 06-17-2012 08:57 AM

it was my understanding this was o no wading tournament from boat only. Did they change the rules this year? I am sure one of the trout that placed was caught while wading. I wanted to fish the tourney but like to wade . Any help on rules to help clear my thoughts on a winning trout being caught against the rules. I will check a registration at lct. Come clean.

Top Dawg 06-17-2012 09:29 AM

No wading is what it said on the rules.

2.15 not big but big enough!! Lol we tried to trout fish early after my boat almost sunk for the third time I figured I need to get out of the lake. We ended up catchin 6 trout on top in that nasty chop. So I told my dad we might as well target flounder. So we did and it paid off. Not a big check but I'll take it!! Oh and a side not... A 3' shark tried to eat my skitterwalk.

jchief 06-17-2012 09:51 AM

Congrats guy's. Rough day on the lake for us.

Top Dawg 06-17-2012 10:17 AM

If the person is on this site why not send him a PM? If that doesn't work, turn the person in.

he is on the site and made posts on this thread. I will leave up to him to do the right thing.

Dude I see you are trying to put me on blast about the trout I caught while I was wading. First off, this is the first time I have ever fished this tournament. Secondly, I registered over the phone with Lake Charles Tackle so I did not look at the rules because i did not have them. Third, I told numerous people at the weigh-in that I was wading, even the guy that weighed my fish, and no one told me anything. So how bout turn in the weigh master. I could have easily caught these fish out my boat and was wading 200-300 yards from the 2nd place trout fisherman. And he knew it was me. So if you wanna come pick up the check yourself, send me a PM and I will give you my address for you to come pick it up personally. Because it seems like you are the only one that is really worried about it.

And luckily I accidentally dropped an 8 pound 27" red off my boga or I would have won the redfish too. Winner was 7.69. Then u would really be crying like a B I T C H!

Haha why are you admitting to the crime? Just go blow the money and forget this dude. I wouldn't try to defend myself by admitting guilt and pleading ignorance, that's not a strong argument. I'll be in New Orleans this weekend on a bachelor party blowing money and making bad decisions, I advise u to do the same.

Already blew it! :p It was obvious he was calling me out. Wanted to at least tell my side of the story.

MY SPOT 06-21-2012 11:15 AM

thanks for your honesty . I like fishing tournaments and want everyone to play fair. Just like I said it was probably an honest mistake. Thanks for letting me know that and good luck fishing.

YellowMouth7 06-21-2012 11:16 AM

I def feel your pain for being called out for doing something wrong with out knowing any better. It seems that most folks on this site are adults (by age not actions) but when two adults have an issue it is usually handled much more effectivly one-on-one. in other words if you have a problem with someone on this site just send them a PM and handle it like adults instead of calling them on it infront of everyone. 1) public humiliation does no one any good and 2) all it does is get people angry. Sorry this person is trying to rain on your parade Seth.

My 2 cents

I have never fished a tournament where wading wasn't allowed. Had I known, I would have never done it. I had caught just as good of fish out my boat in the same spot on Thursday before the tourny. Once i had em pinpointed, just figured it would have been easier to wade. I haven't waded since the spring time either. I understand your concern but maybe next time just try and send a PM instead of blasting me on the public forum. I had no clue wading wasn't allowed until you said something on this thread. I didn't know about the tournament until friday afternoon so I tried calling LCT and they let me register over the phone since I live in Lafayette.

Lmao classic!! Specktator is a thug!!

blister 06-21-2012 01:30 PM

I fished the YMBC and had a fish that weighed a little under 5lbs. My brother was at the weigh in and said it would take something over 5. We had just started catching a few fish around 1:30 so we continued fishing and ended up with 8-10 more trout by 2:30 with 2 more slighlty over 4. It sad to know now that we have been beaten by a rule breaker.
