if you willing to drive out this way i can give you the phone numbers of a few fisherman, no sure how much you would save though.

Fishmaster 04-07-2010 08:27 PM

Willing to drive up to 2 1/2 hours from NOLA, we had to go way over there last year because they where the only ones who had them, my birthday was the day after good Friday

Call Michaels seafood in Hammond, usually cheaper than anybody around.

Yea Bob, I have gotten good product for many years from Tony's until Feb. when I got a sack of oysters. They were tiny(which is seasonal I guess) but every other one was dry so we tossed them. I will only eat oysters that have juice in them. I see why my buddy brings an oyster knife with him and opens several on his tailgate before he accepts /purchases them...

Fishmaster 04-11-2010 01:00 PM

Well guys we went looking and got them for 1.40 a lb not huge but not small either. Its my birthday, hope everyone else has a good one!
