Willing to drive up to 2 1/2 hours from NOLA, we had to go way over there last year because they where the only ones who had them, my birthday was the day after good Friday :cry:

Call Michaels seafood in Hammond, usually cheaper than anybody around.

Me and Poodie (my 5 year old little boy) just took out a ten pound special. $2.59 a pound boiled. Belle River (Spillway) are $1.59# and local pond are $1.25# live.

Don't go to tony seafood in B.R. they wanted $1.99 lb this am and were small / mixed.

Yea Bob, I have gotten good product for many years from Tony's until Feb. when I got a sack of oysters. They were tiny(which is seasonal I guess) but every other one was dry so we tossed them. I will only eat oysters that have juice in them. I see why my buddy brings an oyster knife with him and opens several on his tailgate before he accepts /purchases them...

Well guys we went looking and got them for 1.40 a lb not huge but not small either. Its my birthday, hope everyone else has a good one! :cheers:
