I don't know of any spots to catch legal size red snapper in state waters.

You talking about fishing in June or in the near future?

I know some state water spots but we gotta go far east

Im down if the weather is right. problem is, the weather never seems to cooperate with my schedule.

Whenever we can run out of west or east. Get couple boat together and hit the rigs

Is anyone good at reading the tide and weather? Anyone wanna take charge?

both times i went into the gulf last year turned out to be interesting.

1st trip i didnt make it to the platforms.
2nd trip the forecast called for light southerly winds. made it and caught nothing but gafftops, the wind turned 15+ out of the east. that was a loooong bumpy ride back.

like a dummy, I cant wait to do it again though!

We usually start fishing when we hit ~150' of water.

We went out of Gi last April for my bachelor party in a couple 24' bay boats an we smoked the mangrove! Caught red snapper to but didn't keep them Feds an coast guard were swarmin! It's actually almost the exact same distance running from Quintana to southwest past an running from gI an getting in 100' of water haha. Fun time

Do you still got the grid number to that spot ?
