New boat is home!

1 Attachment(s)
Took delivery of new boat today and it will take me a couple of weeks to complete the rig up. Can't wait to get this thing on the water and it is my very first new boat that was bought at a dealership as a "new" boat.

Will be hanging a Yamaha 250 4stroker, PowerPole Pro, and putting electronics package in over the next couple of weeks. Still looking for a new name for it as the "Finfeatherfur" just doesn't fit for this one!

As for the color, it was not my choice, but availability and price sealed the deal. Duckaholic and Mrs. Duckaholic have already been over and say that basically the color of the boat may cause me some grief in the future regarding the "sexual orientation" of the boat. The name "Butt Pirate" came out along w/ a few others, but I don't think so!!!!!!!!! haha - very funny!!!!

Ray 05-31-2010 09:22 PM

It will be easy to know who I am potlicking now.

FF_T_Warren 05-31-2010 09:23 PM

you can always drop a lil cheddar and get it wrapped with some cool design if you don't like it that much

Finfeatherfur 05-31-2010 09:51 PM

Thanks guys! Appreciate all the words. We'll see how it plays out and I did actually think about a wrap, but now the wife is starting to like the color and will likely keep it just as is for the summer. The pic doesn't do it justice, because it aint blue!!!!!

Mrs. Duckaholic called "Sea foam green" - I said "yep, that's it!"

One day I will be able to afford something like that, I hope.

May not get to use it for awhile Glenn! - I have meetings everyday this week, 2 possible flights Thursday, and will be going to Houma on Friday for work......all of which is subject to change by the minute! And it between all this, I am trying to get it rigged out. I already have all controls, hydraulic steering, etc installed from Yamaha, so slapping the 4stroke on won't be a big deal at all. Bolt it on, plug it up, prime and go!

Cut sheet says 12-13" or something like that. I know I will not be able to hit some of my redfish holes like I did w/ my 2220, but as much time as I spend rig hoping and island running, I think it will work out better.

Sea-Trac Offshore 06-01-2010 08:33 AM

Well, with you being so busy I will head down your way and pick it up and slime it up properly to make sure it has a safe shakedown!

Saw one that color out on the water today, but it had a pole platform over the motor.
My wife loves that color.
