Custom made Gravois hull. 800 gallons of fuel and they expect it to top out between 75-80mph. It is a prototype for the homeland security out of Grand Isle.

Got that sucker in an email...wow.

all star rod 06-11-2010 09:57 AM

I wonder how long that thing is?????? Has to be over 30 plus feet with 4 Mercs hanging off the back of it...

"H" 06-11-2010 10:02 AM

I don't it will be passing up many fuel docks

Gerald 06-11-2010 10:24 AM

Going that fast......I would think the edges on the T-top should be more rounded to cut down on drag.

Is that some kind of "cut out" on the hull above the tires?

The seats look like something you would see in a airplane.

It's a 42 foot Gravois- Metal Shark they are bringing it to the Florida boat show hoping the DEA law enforcement sighns a contract to build more. It was built in jeannerette.

What exactly do the notches on the bottom of the hull do? I saw this on another boat the other day. I'm sure it's a performance issue, but what excactly? anyone know?

Stepped Hull, boat is designed to run on that portion for the hull for peak preformance. It's a badazz design for sure, most of the offshore racing boats use the same type hull and I believe Contender,Fountain, ect.

Hey guys here are a few more pics of this boat while running.

Also, this was included in the email by Chris Allard with Metal Shark Boats..

"Guys,
Here are some shots from today. She is without question the best running V hull I have ever driven. She turns awesome and every wave seems to melt. The only boat that compares is the 38 ZRC Donzi."

wtretrievers 06-14-2010 08:31 AM

I wanna drive it JUST ONE TIME!:grinpimp:
