I have received tons of emails asking what is the best bait on Big Lake!!! This is easy!!! This is all you need to bring with some 1/8oz,1/4oz and 3/8oz jig heads!!! Here are the only colors I carry!!!

speckdaddy 06-26-2009 03:18 PM

best colors ya got r the opening night and that limetreuse.ya use that avacado any? in clear or stained water

Big Kahunaz 06-26-2009 03:19 PM

"W". You ever fish the big ones or just the jrs? I've never thrown the jrs and always rip good fish on the big eels in glow chart and color like the one on the left column 2nd row in core shot. Cores just don't last as long...seems like theyre softer and tear easier.

Big Kahunaz 06-26-2009 03:20 PM

where can i get a texas chicken corky?

Austin(boatman's son) 06-26-2009 03:20 PM

All I throw are JR's.....I use to use the SR but I double my fish ratio with JRs......

SpeckDaddy...I use the Avc. also....Just not alot.......The color I have caught the most trout on has to be Glow/Chrt...then LSU

Big Kahunaz 06-26-2009 03:27 PM

What the? Somehow that formation changed on the eels! HAHA!

speckdaddy 06-26-2009 03:28 PM

really? never used the glow.or the lsu. just the openin night. if that slows, i use the limetreuse. if thats not doin it i use that lil manns grub i told ya about. ill hook ya up with sum.

Big Kahunaz 06-26-2009 03:29 PM

That's because them trout of yours can't swallow the Sr's. Little bait = little fish. :smokin:

Your traveling with too much gear....Those 3 colors on the right are all you need.

I like the jrs too, although the big ones have accounted for some of my larger fish, especially that morning glory!

Have y'all tried the Brown Devil Eyes yet? I'd like to hear a report on those. Rootbeer, pink, plum/chart, or copper/chart have been pretty hot this Summer.
