Check out this Contender that "ran aground". Boat was only 6 hours old.
Operator claimed he was doing 28 knots. Both people on board were 100%
sober. Cost him $10,000 to have Tow Boat US pull him back to the water.
4 tow lines parted in the process. MSRP on the boat ranges from $300,000 to
$400,000 depending on options.

RaginCagin 07-19-2010 03:58 PM

Dummie, some people have more money than sense. I can understand hitting a sand bar or a reef but geez hes about 40 yards onto the bank.

SULPHITE 07-19-2010 04:00 PM

there was a debate on this awhile back...

wtretrievers 07-19-2010 04:12 PM

I got this about a week ago......I have a hard time believing he was going 28 knots......maybe 58 knots! That's a long ways!

Raymond 07-19-2010 04:17 PM

Dumbarse, if he would have given it some gas he could have made it out to the otherside.;)

your buddie's name is Ray ??

Reel Bender 07-19-2010 04:36 PM

No, If Ray would of nailed it we would of made it and I would not of had to push. I think he was worried about scratching the bottom of his new bote, but it got scratched anyway. Actually, if he would of nailed It I would just had to push farther.

The key......... never run at full throttle that way you got more to give when ya need it. So he says

Reel Bender 07-19-2010 04:37 PM

Speaking of Ray what days you off work?:D

Reel Bender 07-19-2010 04:38 PM

QUACKHEAD 07-19-2010 05:00 PM

Money cant buy everything! :shaking::shaking:

Chris Havoc 07-19-2010 06:00 PM

dunno how far he is from the bank...but i highly doubt it computes to 28 knts

jchief 07-19-2010 07:28 PM

Tide was up and the grass was wet with the morning dew so the drag coefficient was very low that day.

RIGHT

speck-chaser 07-19-2010 08:53 PM

I think it was determined that he was coming from the opposite direction, and that those ruts were made from someone on a atv of some sort.

aquaholic78 07-19-2010 09:00 PM

jpeff31787 07-20-2010 10:08 AM

money doesn't fix stupid

Feesherman 07-20-2010 10:40 AM

I imagine he must have been running on auto pilot and radar just doesn't pick up low lying marsh. He needs better GPS maps.
