lets hope this fizzles out too, but just talked to my buddy that is one of the head climatologists here at LSU, and he said this storm has a good chance of being a named storm when it hits LA, it could strengthen more than the models are accounting for because of some things that the models can input

just dont be too quick to dismiss this because of the last one

Thank God I will be in Austin and miss the inevitable carnage. Prayers sent.

yak'em-n-stack'em 08-11-2010 09:45 AM

Geeez. I was just saying. Don't make plans for it not to rain or be windy because in all likelyhood it will rain and be windy.

Ray 08-11-2010 10:33 AM

It will stir up and disperse more crude in the gulf. That is a good thing.

drewmar74 08-11-2010 04:24 PM

NHC is calling TD5 dissipated and has issued its last advisory on the system.

Ray 08-11-2010 04:28 PM

Winds 20 knots out the NE, seas still 3 to 5 ft.
Sun shining, no clouds. Everything looks like it
is going to the North of us along the coast.

PFFFTTTT......what do they know?

Salty 08-11-2010 10:51 PM

"TD 5" is no longer tropical and doesn't appear too disturbing.

Ray 08-12-2010 07:56 AM

Sky's clear, winds changed out of the SE around 20 knots. Seas 5 to 8 ft.
Looks like it is all over.
