I decided not to buy a pack of smokes this morning after coughing up a little blood.

Had two this morning, just had lunch and I want one bad! How bad will it get?

The first couple of days are the worst just chew some gum or something. It get progressively better every day

once i made up my mind to quit i psyched myself up for a week then quit cold turkey. used them hot cinnamon toothpicks when i wanted a smoke. wasn't to hard after the first week.

Chewed tobacco for 22 years and one day my friend said how can u pay $4 and spit it all out. I'm gonna eat it if I have to buy it. I then threw it away and never bought another can. You will only quit if u r ready. It's hard but u gave to be mind strong The reward is better then the pain. Good luck

i used zyban and it worked like a charm....have you tried chantix or zyban?

nope, haven't really tried much.

Not sure if I'm going to make it or not today.

deffinently on the top of the list of things I would do different, I need to quit very bad ive slowed down but what realy sucks is when you run out of breath when playing with your son..looking at him when he doesnt understand why you cant go anymore thats sucks!!!

I quit cold Turkey almost 6 months ago....the first two weeks were hard but I kept a bag of jolly rancher's on me at all times And gum. I used to vomit every morning when I woke up. Now that I quit smoking cigs no more barfing in the AM

ive been eating really healthy and working out everyday for the past month but the smoking is killing me ...every time i buy a pack i feel guilty! i thinl my smokin days are numbered! good luck brucie .......... ps when you comin to br so we can run some game

My wife quit about 7 months ago and still gets the urge whenever she smells someone smoking.

I was doing good for a while,but gave in when I had da buzz. Been a week since I smoked one,now I got a cold so hopefully I can shake the habit. Chewing gum helps alot. Just hard for me me when EVERYONE at work smokes.

Gee Dam!!!! If i were coughing up blood, the last thing on my mind would be another smoke????!!!!!!!! That would be enough right there! I quit dipping in March and i dipped all day & night for 12 years. Just gotta set your mind right and ask yourself...."What's best for me". It's all MENTAL....are you WEAK???? or STRONG? ;-P GL GL

I couldn't make it, I picked up ONE more pack this eve. Made me nervous.

I quit Skoal when it got to $1.50 per can. I was cheap.
20 years was enuff. I got some smoking patches that
helped me stop dipping.

Yup, I agree it's all in the head. I need to quit to and doing good at slowing down. Best thing I ever tried was the patches. Had gotten a free month from the American Cancer Society a while back when they were doing a promotion and it worked real good. When I ran out I tried them cheap Wal-Mart ones and they don't work. Good luck and wish me luck too.

I guess I'm part of the reason Broocie is hook on cigs. Every time we go fishin'.........he bums a pack from me. :p :smokin:

gets a little better but it will always be there i still grab my pocket all the time when i get stressed. but it don't bother me but a second. first two weeks are the worst. what ever you do don't start dipping 10x harder to quit than sigs in my opion

Been dipping for 13 years. Hard to quit. Its either prison, meds or dip. Dip is cheaper, cause I hate taking meds and prison just aint happening

Go spend the day with someone dying from emphysema. There are much worse things than nervous. Nut up and quit. ;)
