Dang.....that snake is huge. Look how big the head is. Where was this at?

Saw this last week. It's on someones facebook and it says they found it in Darlington La. It was 150lbs. 36 Rattles and a button. A guy that works with me says he knows the guy that killed it.

It is said that the largest rattlesnake on the planet is the Eastern diamondback. The record length for this venomous snake is 96 inches & 90 pounds. |

I live in rattlesnake country (Washington Parish/Pearl River Co., MS) and I've seen some boogers. IMO, that pic is fake.

I call BS on that. I got this pic in an email 3 or 4 weeks ago that said it was killed in Georgia. Have a friend at work who heard an eight footer was killed in east Texas near San Augustine. Call me a poo poo, rattlers get big but 150 pounds? |
There's no way That Guy is holding 150lb snake up on a stick like that........sorry guys.....would be cool if real
Have y'all ever took a picture with a bass? If you hold it out at arms length, you can make a 3# look like an 8#er. I think it's a little hocus pocus although it is a big un...
I'm not buying it. It's not likely it would have that many rattles. They are dead skin and will fall off as time goes on. I got to hold a 7ft'r in Three Rivers, TX once (frozen) and it didn't weigh anywhere near 150#. Stranger things have happened but, while it is a big snake, I think the numbers are exaggerated.
It was killed in screvan county georgia. It is on news 12
Drinkin all dat hateraid
Hey, I merely said that it wasn't likely to have that many rattles and the weight wasn't likely accurate. On both counts, I was right!:p
Now, "Mr." D, I'll accept your appology whenever you are ready!:*****::*****::*****:Probably not likely!:shaking::*****: |
All that he said she said **** gets erbody confused. I just know one thing, I do not want to stumble across that thing in the woods! That thing would eat a small kid.

Definitely east of Louisiana. Thats an Eastern Diamondback, there is only one record in Louisiana and that was thought to be an escapee. We got a timber rattler (canebrake rattler) about 3 years ago in September that had a swamp rabbit in its stomach, and had 17 rattles 5'10
45 lbs...
Not about the same snake, but this little article puts a few things into perspective.

It's beyond me how he doesn't weigh 300 lbs.

The Snake. I only eat fresh meat. That rabbit is not fresh enuff, plus I can eat 2 rabbits that size in one sitting.
