http://blog.wired2fish.com/blog/bid/...choring-system
anyone have one of these yet? any reports on how they compare to the power pole as far as how well they hold etc? |
Saw one on a bass boat in chalmette last weekend....looked nice but it will take some time to tell how they will hold up.
Like the power pole better.imo
wow I like!
looks pretty sweet!
minn kota sux , the trolling motors, the onboard chargers, they suck ! just get a power pole i can prolly get you a slightly used one for cheap if you are willing to wait for one to come up
Holler at me if you come across a good used one pox
Saw one at a boat show late last year. They said they were not being sold when I saw them, but they demo'ed them for us.
I figgered we would see them at the Houston Boat Show and Houston Fishing Show this year. |
I think they are pretty nice. Come with remote and everything so pricing is good.
anyone get one yet? sounds like a good birthday present for me
a friend of mine has one...he likes it...took his power pole off his boat for the talon...he said that "it gets through the shell bottoms easier and has not gotten stuck in the thick stuff yet."
I have not been able to see it in action though. |

Fiberglass "stake out" anchor
Check out the previous thread:
I bought several of these fiberglass poles and made them into stakes. They are much better than stainless steel "cajun" anchors (not as loud or heavy and they have a little flex). It's basically the same material as the "stakeout stick", "wang anchor", etc........just a lot cheaper. I've been using them for a couple of years, and I can't imagine using anything else (unless the water is deeper than 8 feet). |

i don't know if these are long enough unless you are fishing the banks most the reefs are 4 to 6'. with wave height and the 2 foot you loose on the bow mount. it would be close.... i don't know maybe they are plenty long...this is the only reason i haven't bought one of these yet. kinda scared i would be wasting my money. if you buy one keep us informed |
