Duck Calls
 

Im gonna buy myself a new call for Christmas and Im leaning towards an RNT short barrel... Anybody got experience with these in the field? I love the way it sounds but I dont want to have to take it apart constantly and clean the reed cause it is sticking. Also any opinions other on calls?

i have an RNT acrylic daisy cutter...LOVE IT...you do have to clean it a bunch but it is definitely the best sounding call for me

I also have a RNT Macrohen that I haven't even hunted with. Its a short barrel. Paid $75 for it. Just not my style. Will let it go for $50

Use my zink more than anything...then the ol' DR 85

I have a Big Guys Best acrylic single reed...not my style but is loud as hell!! Very nice call...may be willing to part with it just bought it in October.

Reason selling my RNT. Cause I favor my DR-85 over anything.

I hear you! I like my zink b/c i can make her squeal ;) really i love how I can make the cajun squeal with her...and its only the polycarb...I would love to try a HOBO double reed. acrylic or the zink ph2 acrylic..they seem to be pretty darn good.

you cannot beat the DR-85 ....it is a beast!!!

You just can't beat a dr-85 or a variable tone red leg imo.

I also have a clear Delta Waterfowl call that sounds great. I dont
know who makes it either. Sound better with the free Delta call than I do with my RNT.

But hands down, my go-to call is my DR-85. I bought the 25th anniversary one this year before the season b/c my old one was a few years old and done. It is green rather than the usual clear, pretty cool.

I bought the annivrsary dr-85 to it sounds great

I mostly use Haydel calls.....dirty rice and red leg. For the price all of their calls are great.
