Got on the water around 1 this afternoon with longcast and paul myers. We picked up a few trout here and there untill about 4:30. When the sun started going down we smoked them almost every cast untill dark. Lost a nice one at the boat, shook the hook. All fish were caught on glow plastics on a 1/4 once jig. Was a great afternoon of fishing, nice to meet you paul had a blast. Thanks to longcast for bringing us out.

Thanks again,
PaulMyers

BTW, Montauk17 you need to post a pic of that big speck. Don't be shy now. ;)

longcast 12-23-2010 11:39 PM

Let's do it again soon. Paul anytime your free call me. Let's go get em.

Montauk17 12-23-2010 11:40 PM

It was only 4 pounds....usually when I catch a nice one like that on the first cast the day will not go well. Today was not like that they bit like trained pigs at dark. Had a blast fishing with yall there was never a dull moment.

We were there yesterday afternoon too. Blue Mako. We left turners with about 1.5 hours of daylight left to go catch some reds... caught our limit of reds in about 1/2 an hour and picked up right before dark... Great catch man guess we should have stuck it out a little longer...

Yes, that last 30 minutes was just crazy fun. We had 3 on almost the whole time. I've never seen it quite like that before. Didn't even have time to put them in the livewell.

Yeah the last 30 mins of daylight was stupid!! They were smoking our baits like the water was 70 degrees,we left them biting.
