BATON ROUGE, La. -- LSU's Les Miles said Monday he anticipates meeting with representatives from Michigan to discuss the Wolverines' head coaching vacancy.

Miles says no one from Michigan has contacted him directly yet and that he does not know when such a meeting with his alma mater might take place. According to the Detroit News, Miles and Michigan are expected to meet on Tuesday.

Miles says he cannot speculate about the substance of such a meeting and also says he is "extremely happy" at LSU and that his family is comfortable living in Baton Rouge.

Miles spoke Monday shortly after LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson announced he's turning pro.

Miles is 62-17 with a national championship in six years at LSU.

Rich Rodriguez last week was fired as Michigan coach with a 15-22 mark in three seasons.

I was just reading them, it's funny how some people get so upset over things.

Like the article said, a Michigan jet is at the BTR airport right now and another jet believed to be carrying the Michigan AD David Brandon is on its way to BR right now. If Miles gets on either one of those planes to fly to Dallas tomorrow he is as good as gone. IMHO.

I hope Les stays but if he goes please LSU dont go after Pelini.

What is wrong with Pelini? I see there are alot of the salty cajun members who say don't hire him and I was wondering why?

Rumor out of baton rouge from a board member is....LSU has contacted Josh McDaniel and John Gruden...and with sending letters to have permission to speak to a few other head coaches.... I'm sure this is just protocol back up plan

ESPN is reporting that Les will meet with Michigan officials on Tuesday and will accept the position if offered to Him. Just hope if he leaves he takes crowton with him!!!!!

Miles has changed his tune from this am. Now he is saying that some folks he knows here have been talking to some folks from michigan and now the meeting he had scheduled to talk to michigan tues in dallas has been moved to tomorrow in baton rouge. Bye Less.

Don't let the door hit you in the a??Miles. I have to admit I never have liked Les and I think if he leaves it may be good for LSU in the long run if they can find a qualified coach to replace him. I happen to like Pelini but Gruden would be good also.

I doubt he is as stupid as Cecil Newton, and I bet Mr. Mettenberger is the man that will be managing his son's upcoming professional career making 6 figures answering the phone calls coming into this bad a$$ quarterback! He will play at LSU and use it as a stepping stone to his multi-million dollar contract with one lucky NFL team. Do you see the big picture?
