Today is the day

That I say good bye to bn single and hello to bn married. To b honest I'm not nervous at all.... I guess it bc I've never been so sure or so proud of a decision in my life.
The fact that someone wants to spend the rest of her life with me is an awsome feeling..... But wow I am a lucky SOB!!! I knew from the first time I saw Lauren I would marry her. Then after a date or two I made my mind up that if I married anyone else they would have to surpass Lauren. We didn't date right from the start, casual friends then good friends..... Then not really friends for a while.

I got a txt msg last thanksgiving from her tellin me she was moving home..... So I told god what I wanted & asked him to work his magic and 14 months later I'm marring the girl of my dreams!!

I know marriage, kids, family, and life in general ain't gonna b easy. But there ain't nobody else beside Lauren that I want in my corner n good times and n bad!!

I hope all u bachelors out there find a girl who make u feel the way Lauren makes mr feel! And I hope all u married guys still feel today the way u did when u said " I do."

Y'all have a great day!!
I know I will!!

PaulMyers 01-14-2011 11:45 AM

Congratulations and remember it is called an institution for a reason.

I got institutionalized 30 years ago and wouldn't have it any other way.

Finfeatherfur 01-14-2011 11:46 AM

Purebay- I don't know you from adam, except from here on this site. From what you just wrote, I can tell you have the "right" one!!! Congrats and best of luck to the both of you!

Many people on this site know me personnaly, as a smart a$$, with a big mouth, and always jacking w/ somebody. Well, I could not be in a better place in my life right now if it wasn't for the girl of my dreams! I am lucky, and looks like you are in the same boat.

My all your dreams come true.......TOGETHER!

Finfeatherfur 01-14-2011 11:47 AM

Almost forgot- where's the reception????!!!!!!!! Wouldn't be cool to crash the reception as a bunch of people from the SC.

PUREBAY2200 01-14-2011 11:50 AM

Vintage court n covington. Y'all come on!

eman 01-14-2011 11:54 AM

It's Not hard unless y'all make it that way.
It won't allways be easy but the problems can be overcome by love and comunnication.
We have been married 28 yrs this year and i love her more than ever.

I'll tell you like i tell all newly weds , I will wish y'all good luck today
Not congradulations.
If you make it 5 years then come back and see me and i will then congradulate you as you have made it thru the first 5 years and in these times that is something worth the honor.

What about a date and time or do you really not want us all to show up? ;-)

And when they ask "Does this dress make my butt look big?", lie like a rug :rotfl: Congrats on your marriage...

Ray 01-14-2011 12:32 PM

When I got divorced I said "never again".
10 years later, I did it again.
Never say never.
When you find the right one, go for it.

They say it is cheaper to be single.
I am paying a house note with the money I blew drinking and chasing coochie.

As someone else said, it is an institution. I've been married since May of 09 so, not long. I have to say, the first year was hard for me. There are a lot of adjustments that you will be making, even more than you already are. For me, it was really a lot of mental blocks that I had put up on things that I WOULD NOT let go of for anyone. Well, I gave up on at least 50% of them and haven't missed any of them the first bit.

Get comfortable, but keep it interesting. Surprise her from time to time. Even when the honeymoon's over and "regular life" begins, remember to tell her that you love her and are a better person for having her in your life.

Good luck and God bless your marriage.

Dink 01-14-2011 01:46 PM

Chris,
I've never loved someone that I wanted to strangle till I met my wife......I wouldn't have it any other way.......just last night I was sitting on the couch watching her sleep thinking I'm the luckiest Guy around.........

Good luck to ya bro......

DUCKGOGETTER 01-14-2011 01:54 PM

Congrats!!!!!!!!! Me and my wife have been married for 2 years now and i'm not sure where i would be without her. We were freinds first then we didn't talk for a while due to some differences, but i think it made our love stronger for each other.

If you truly feel the way you stated, marriage will be wonderful. I have been married for over 30 years. Can't say it's all been easy. But it is all worth it. I have been truly blessed and hope you two will be also. Congrats and good luck.
