Cabelas or Bass Pro?

The wife wants to go to Baton Rouge tomorrow to go to Whole Foods and the Mall. As a compromise I told her we have to go to Cabela's. I know they are pretty much the same distance just wondering which is best, Cabelas or Bass Pro? I'm thinkin Cabela's.

Lake Chuck Duck 01-20-2011 09:49 PM

Keep in mind I want a good mix of hunting AND fishing. Does Bass Pro have a good hunting selection?

ckinchen 01-20-2011 09:50 PM

tcglsu 01-20-2011 09:59 PM

:*****:

When she goes to Baton Rouge she's gotta hit Whole Foods.

That's capital "b".

"DD" is the fartherest thing you'll find from Whole Foods.

trophytroutman 01-20-2011 10:42 PM

Thats why we're goin to Bass Pro first, so I can break the bank before she does. We all know Bass Pro isnt exactly cheap!

fishinpox 01-20-2011 11:06 PM

bass pro , and leave the wife at the mall u should go to wHOLE foods by yer self ....tons of tang up in there!

FF_T_Warren 01-20-2011 11:12 PM

Bass Pro is nicer and cooler. Cabelas has more variety and better selection. but Cabelas is also alot more expensive. they only 30 minutes apart, just hit both and make a day of it. May be a while before you make it back out this way

DUCKGOGETTER 01-21-2011 08:34 AM

Bass pro for sure

jlsch1 01-21-2011 10:26 AM

Love me some whole foods, that's the only place my old lady will shop..there's one every couple blocks up here...and there is always some top grade tang lurking up in there

I agree

FF_T_Warren 01-22-2011 04:55 PM

it is close to thirty. there aint no way you make it from BPS to Cabelas in 15 minutes unless you driving 100mph. NO WAY at all. It takes me at least 25 minutes and I live just south of I12 in walker. so I go the "quick" LA16 route. that would mean from BPS to cabelas it would be 15-20 miles driving at a normal rate. its 5 miles from walker to denham alone and prolly 10 miles just to port vincent from bass pro going down 16. theres no way you can make it in 15 minutes. Its well over 20 miles probably close to 30

dang u must have grandmaw syndrome...nah man just playing....but i dunno dude its whatever i aint gonna argue i know wat i do...hell i might be drivin 100 down 16...but no point in arguing...people are all Jews these days but its cool cause we all here cause we love La.....

LPfishnTIM 01-22-2011 07:27 PM

its 30 miles to cabelas from walker south road at the interstate, it takes about 30- 40 minutes to get there back roads. From the pumpkin center exit, I'm pretty sure you can get to bass pro in 30 minutes because its about 30 miles from Denham and the speed limit is 70mph on I12 til you get to walker then its 60mph you should be able to make it in 25 minutes.

Salty 01-22-2011 08:22 PM

I can name that tune in..................30 notes.

Duck Butter 01-22-2011 08:27 PM

Bass Pro over Cabelas? I have been to several Bass Pro Shops but have been really wanting to get over to the Cabelas. Never been to one, what gives?

I made it from my house to Southern151's place of business in 2:37 yesterday. I made it back to my house from his shop in 2:52. I took the same route both ways.

Just sayin
