Bass

DUCKGOGETTER 02-28-2011 07:48 PM

Bass hands down also would love to catch it on ribbitt frog in the lillies

aidan 02-28-2011 07:51 PM

definitely bass

Lake Chuck Duck 02-28-2011 07:53 PM

Bass are more rewarding because they are harder to catch. Same reason I like hunting geese over ducks.

youmyboyblue 02-28-2011 08:14 PM

I would take a 10# trout over a world record bass.

LPfishnTIM 02-28-2011 08:43 PM

BASS would definitely be worth more!

speck-chaser 02-28-2011 09:18 PM

I would like to catch em both in the same day. I mean, while we dreaming here.

speck-chaser 02-28-2011 09:23 PM

trophytroutman 02-28-2011 09:29 PM

TROUT of course.

boatdriver 02-28-2011 09:35 PM

Bass. Lots more recognition all over the US, not just on the coast. Would be envied by millions!!!

Wackin n stakin 02-28-2011 09:40 PM

BASS!!

simplepeddler 02-28-2011 09:54 PM

Sac-a-lait

Salty 02-28-2011 09:55 PM

A world record bass today would reportedly be worth in excess of 1 million $$$. The trout would get you on a few magazine covers but that's about it. I don't know what the number is now for bass but I'm pretty sure the record trout is approaching 17.5 lbs.

I'd like to know what that guy who is the record holder for bass made signing autographs at the classic.

You're probably right, Ducky. Plus, he probably hasn't bought anything fishing-related since the catch.......including boats. Bass has forever and will forever be considered the most popular gamefish.

skinman 02-28-2011 10:19 PM

Trout. I'd take a picture, and then fillet that dude out...

Trout... cause i dont really bass fish so what am i gonna do with a lifetime supply of brush hogs, lizards, and flukes. I wouldnt say catching a big bass is really that hard compared to big trout. I bass fished for about two years pretty hard and I have a 9lb 8oz bass on my wall, been trout fishing my whole life and my personal best is only a 25" trout. I caught it when i was young so i didnt weigh it. Plus I enjoy trout fishing more

Apparently so.

The trout record has been broken several times in the past 79 years.

Gerald 03-01-2011 12:26 AM

That big bass was made offical a few months back.

Officially it tied the old record.

Born2fish19 03-01-2011 03:35 AM

Definately the world record Bass. It would be more predictable for the world record spec to be caught here but not for the world record bass. You would think a world record bass would be caught in California, Florida, or Mexico.

LPfishnTIM 03-01-2011 05:51 AM

22lds a few oz. is the record for a Bass

mcjaredsandwich 03-01-2011 09:40 AM

Shoot I'd rather catch a 60# black drum on my ugly stick with my reel turned upside down.

all of that money and he still cant speak english

redalertlures 03-01-2011 10:28 AM

My heart says Bass-grew up fishn bass, but Trout are more fun.

I think it depends on the circle of friends you fish with as well.

Either way would be nice hold a WR. My personal best trout was 27" 7lb 30z caught on a soft plastic I poured and actually messed up the color on. lol

Best bass was 8lb 13oz caught on 4lb line and was definitely a fun fish to catch.

longsidelandry 03-01-2011 11:40 AM

Either, I'm sure they'd both taste great! :D

"W" 03-01-2011 11:51 AM

Gotta go with trout. While I agree that trout (numbers) are easy to catch I feel like Big Trout are harder to catch than Big Bass. No scientific evidence to back it up, but how many people do you know who have caught an 8+lb bass vs an 8+lb trout?

Opinions_Vary 03-01-2011 01:37 PM

What is considered a trophy Trout and Bass? Is it 8 or better is it 10 or better?
