Japan vs US
Just some observations I have seen over the last 3 days after this deadly earthquake and tsunami.
I have come to realize Japan is 100x better than the U.S. #1) You have not seen any one shooting helicopters from roof tops #2) You have not seen any one looting or walking with 50inch TVs and Nike Shoes around there neck #3) You have not seen them blame Bush for this Tsunami #4) You dont see them sitting and waiting for FEMA #5) We nuked Japan to dirt and they have became a better country over the last 65 years and we never have a bomb hit our soil Makes you think that we dont need terrorist to destroy our country or kill our people...The Government is doing it everyday |
mother nature never fails to impress
also nuke power is only real option over coal/gas, glad they only had a hydrogen explosion |
i thought the news said they had a nuclear meltdown
|
the rods are melting but i don't think the reactors vessels were blown open

Im just saying like I see it.....Never said I like them just saying you dont see them running around like idiots on the news and stealing everything in a disaster |
The Japanese people have a tremendous sense of order.
They are extremely disciplined. And they follow instructions and do not always assume they know everything OR are owed anything. But you can bet you sweet petunia that the US will be POURING in money from individuals to churches to the government. I wonder........... Just how much will other countries participate.... AND while it is true we nuked them to dirt.......we also rebuilt them. Much like we are doing in Iraq now. |
They got real *****S over there though:grinpimp:

HIROSHIMA1945
HIROSHIMA - 65 YEARS LATER DETROIT- 65 YEARS AFTER HIROSHIMA What has caused more long term destruction - the A-bomb, or U. S. Government welfare programs created to buy the votes of those who want someone to take care of them? Japan does not have a welfare system. Work for it or do without. |

They dont need a dime from us....I know we will give them money we do not have but there not in debt 14trillion....and have no welfare and have no idiots like we do.....Just saying |
W again you are wrong. Japan DOES have a welfare system.
They just don't have *****s sucking the system dry. Japan has a welfare system that in some ways makes even the new, dismantled American system seem a model of generosity. Applicants in Japan are obliged to get help first from their families, and a poor person physically able to work is not eligible for help -- whether or not the person actually has a job. From some perspectives, this system has worked brilliantly. The country's already strong family ties have been strengthened, and the main safety net is the family rather than the Government. The number of Japanese in the basic welfare program has declined sharply over the last half century, as people became better off and built up savings. Today only 0.7 percent of the population receives benefits -- compared with the 4.8 percent of Americans who get grants from Aid to Families With Dependent Children or the 9.7 percent who receive food stamps. About 2.3 percent of Americans receive grants through the Supplemental Security Income program, which serves the elderly, blind and disabled. To be sure, Japan's welfare system operates in a very different milieu from America's. Only 1 percent of Japanese births are to unwed mothers. That compares with a percentage that keeps climbing in the United States and has now reached 30 percent. Japan also has a far lower percentage of drug addicts than the United States has, a much lower unemployment rate, a much more egalitarian distribution of wealth, a greater sense of family obligation and an abiding sense of shame that colors almost every aspect of life. The Japanese have a great sense of pride, honor and family. It is a dishonor to have to accept welfare if you are physically able to work. The people and the country will recover with or with out any help. |
The numbers have increased....
The lastest figures I've heard are that 40,000,000 people in the U.S. now are on food stamps! This would move that 9% up to 13+%. Another amazing statistic to me is that 60% of the ***** babies in New York are aborted every year! Nope, I'm not even going to call the mothers crime stoppers either.:D

look at the National debt clock....on the lower right http://www.usdebtclock.org/ |
Wow...
Can't stand to watch all those debt numbers piling up! Food stamp recipients have moved up some more by that number to 14% of the population now. Bad thing is that once you start getting government help, you get attached to it and don't want to give it up....kinda like the union folks in Wisconsin where bus drivers can make $150,000 a year!
|
It's amazing to me that people can think welfare is "good enough" and raise generations of children to think the same way......but that can't think one cheese burger is good enough, or the rims and tires the car came with is good enough or the stereo or a 19 inch tubular television and I can go on and on...........
with the government handouts we are racing into mediocrity at break neck speed. We slow our class rooms down to the slowest student while countries like Japan and India teach those students a modest SELF SUPPORTING trade and pressure the heck out of the top performers to .........well perform. Japan will be rebuilt in half the time we could do it and with half the money it would take us to do it. I am not saying they are better......what I am saying is, if we do not get off our collective lazy asses as a country we WILL be passed by. |

Dear Mr. President: During my shift in the Emergency Room last night, I had the pleasure of evaluating a patient whose smile revealed an expensive shiny gold tooth, whose body was adorned with a wide assortment of elaborate and costly tattoos, who wore a very expensive brand of tennis shoes and who chatted on a new cellular telephone equipped with a popular R&B ringtone. While glancing over her patient chart, I happened to notice that her payer status was listed as "Medicaid"! During my examination of her, the patient informed me that she smokes more than one costly pack of cigarettes every day and somehow still has money to buy pretzels and beer. And, you and our Congress expect me to pay for this woman's health care?I contend that our nation's "health care crisis" is not the result of a shortage of quality hospitals, doctors or nurses. Rather, it is the result of a "crisis of culture", a culture in which it is perfectly acceptable to spend money on luxuries and vices while refusing to take care of one's self or, heaven forbid, purchase health insurance. It is a culture based in the irresponsible credo that "I can do whatever I want to because someone else will always take care of me". Once you fix this "culture crisis" that rewards irresponsibility and dependency, you'll be amazed at how quickly our nation's health care difficulties will disappear. Respectfully, STARNER JONES, MD |

Our welfare program need an overhaul more than our Health care! This could easily be made law if someone had some balls in the white house and pushed it!
Government Homes.... 65 or older or disable food stamps ... unable to work or preform duties (medically) Welfare..... pay for one kid all extra is on you or get a job Medical card.....You better be working...or be medically unable to work .. or in a low income home Drug test everyone who is receiving benefits fail once....Rehab you pay for out of your benefits fail twice.....6months no benefits fail three times.......Move because your azz is not getting my tax money.. |
Amen W!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
|
well W that all sounds great...but 1st democrats will lose votes...next you start taking away from the "takers" crime rate will go through the roof. You need someone at the top that will not put up with the BS and crack down on the "takers" who are causing trouble...no one wants to deal with it because they will potentially lose voters.
Were screwed either way. |

that crap goes on in every big city ***** hood in the USA. Look at the riots from the 60's and 70's. Burn down their own neighborhoods cause the man done something to some little street thug who's mama says he's a good boy he would never shoot a cop or rob a liquor store. |
