2011 Salty Cajun Trout Tournament - Official Thread
 

We will have our 2011 Salty Cajun fishing tournament on Saturday August 13, 2011. The tournament will be held on big lake at Cocahoes. Our tournament charity will be St. Jude. Further details are located below.

I look forward to meeting everyone in person and hope that we will have a great turnout.

Time: Safe Daylight to 2pm
Weigh in: At Cocohoes at Hebert's marina

Entertainment and food Friday night at Cocahoes Sports bar and grill

Sounds good....do the fish have to be alive? Artificial only or live bait is allowed?

Also anyone who weight there fish alive and are released will have a chance at a drawing valued around $200 or more...

Great questions. The fish do not need to be alive and artificial and live is fine.

We are looking to fill one or two spots on the committee.... Duty's will be to help collect items that are donated for raffle and door prizes

Help set up and organize the event.....and clean up..

Are we gonna be given a hard time, laughed at, or made fun of for having aluminum boats with 25 mercs on em? Are we allowed to use them? I know how unsafe they are if you fish a tournament with them.

Ahem, i wasnt da weighmaster last tourney, i hadta get involved cus shawn wasnt cuttin it. I was mc and tourney director. But i can handle weighmaster if thats where im needed. Whos mc - ing? I mean who has a bigger mouth than me????
