Instead of hittin the beach this mornin after work decided to make a quick triP up north. Water was pretty and had a decent bite. 14 nice specks 3 sands 2 flounder and a red. All caught on sand eels.

The way I see it..

You over think prien = not catch fish

You go in a aluminum boat troll with spoons and shrimp = load the boat up with fish.


90% of the time thats the case.

"Podna", I put fish in the boat every time I go to Prien. I've fished it since I was 5. I was making a Statement.

All he said was he catches fish drifting instead of trolling and called you podna. Seems legit to me or and I missing something?

The podna part throws me over board. Every time. Not going to lie. But the way it came across to me, "like you just don't know what your saying, i catch em drifting every time"

I seriously doubt that was the case. Maybe mcjared will clear that up. In my neck of the woods podna means friend.
