Fourchon and Offshore

3 Attachment(s)
Woke up at 2 am to roll down to Fourchon with Pox, Fritz20, and Waterbowl We busted up 15 trout on top at the beach with a lot of blow ups and fish coming off at the boat , and I hooked myself in the thumb, then decided to run offshore( unlike some people ;)) Well there we found water rougher than 1-2's, 3 mangroves, 1 lane , and all the 14.5" red snapper you could want. We only slept for two hours last night so we decided at 130 to come in and make a short day of it. Good time on the water

Don't know if you rode in a Blackjack yet, but it is the best riding boat I have ever been in period. Have not been in a Triton though.

Dink have you heard if the fresh water has screwed up the inland rigs (up to 10 miles out) out of FWC....
I assume if you are going after snapper you are going out a lot further which should not be a problem.

Need to head west and far. Went Friday and had to get to at least 75' of water to even find a Red or Mangrove. Redfish are thick as crap out there. Did well but wasted alot of time at the closer rigs. Had to travel about 45 miles to get into them. Went last month for mangroves and couldnt get away from the Red Snapper starting in 45' of water.

Oh no they did let me in, but they didnt let me leave because of my INJURY. Torn ligaments and a barely passing run time in the 1.5 mile of 12:27 (passing is 12:30 and I was beating others running in lots of pain)with torn and strained ligaments in my left ankle is enough for them to say we can't let you leave hurt. I find it funny that most people who tease me about it didn't have enough fortitude of the maybe bakers to enlist in any branch of the military.
