Savagespec619 06-17-2011 12:52 PM

Lake Chuck Duck 06-17-2011 12:56 PM

Alot of guides on this site. Sure no one wants to open a can of worms.

Hopedale Hustler 06-17-2011 12:56 PM

Living a dream guide service capt. Eric Dumass

cmdrost 06-17-2011 12:57 PM

I would call any below.......In no particular order:

Hackberry Rod & Gun - Stansel's
Big Lake Guide Service - Poe's
Calcasieu Charters - Eric Rue
Contraband Charters - Sam Bordelon

Raymond 06-17-2011 01:01 PM

Loaded question my man, they all catch fish and 99% of thier guides work thier butts off the show you a good time. Big outfits like the Stansel's,Poe's,Rue, do a good job but the single boat guides are also good.

Savagespec619 06-17-2011 01:02 PM

alright thanks yea dont wanna open a can of worms hahaha im a guide anywaze just wanted to see if i was on it hahah

inchspinner 06-17-2011 01:06 PM

Any of these guides are good...their objective is to make you excited and a trip to remember and a future customer again and that is a butt load of fish.

Savagespec619 06-17-2011 01:08 PM

Thanks

Some peoples children. I personally know the stansels, poes and rues and all of them are well respected guide services and put alot of heart and time in what they do to make a living.

hahaha.... pointless escapades of trying to call him out. let chicken handle it.

DUCKGOGETTER 06-17-2011 02:52 PM

If this guy is a guide he is being very unprofessional going about it this way.

SaltERedneck 06-17-2011 02:54 PM

shady and unprofessional...foul on the play.

HaHaHa -128 salty dollars. Good job ckinchen

southern151 06-17-2011 02:57 PM

Highly doubt he's a real guide. It's likely one of "W"einer's alter egos!:p

DUCKGOGETTER 06-17-2011 03:05 PM

I sure hope this guy is not for real it just really ticks me off, cause i know alot of guides who make there living from this. They spend alot of time away from home on the water or in the field trying to go that extra mile to show someone what we have to offer here in this great area.

inchspinner 06-17-2011 03:17 PM

He owns his own guide service=cantcatch charters from Tim Buck Too, Tx.....specialized in black drum, sheephead and gaftop...book urs today....bring a map 800-find-fish.

"W" 06-17-2011 03:21 PM

Best Guides on Big Lake is easy #1 Big Lake Guide Service (jeff and mary Poe)

I always Prefer Josh Johnson owner of Triple J Guide Service

I agree. The Poe's are great fishermen and even better people.

A-Speck charters owned/operated by Capt. Norman Rester is a good service. He works hard and is a great guy. Also, any of the others listed above.

trophytroutman 06-17-2011 09:29 PM

Rusty Byler with Hackberry Trophy Charters is good too.Any one know if hes still guiding?

Salty 06-17-2011 10:16 PM

I wouldn't book a charter on Big Lake unless I was wantin' a shot at a big fish. I did it once just to say I did it and it was a blast...a two-day trip with Erik Rue's guide. Too many eatin'-size fish a whole lot closer to home. I went to south Texas for the same reason but that turned out to be a disaster with one of the biggest butt holes I've ever had the displeasure of meeting.
