Man If I had to wait till payday to join the Gillnet I think I'd be a little more dissapointed my check didnt go other places, like rods reels, and fishing.

6 bucks to help keep the site up which in turn advertises small local businesses...its a chain effect. Both profit, and i get a sense of helping the working man. Supporting small business is the key to growth.

"W" posted some info about NBC editing " Under God" from the pledge sunday and it started off under genral comments but started gettin heated so it got moved. |

The politics and religion forum has its own section like the sports bar in the premium area. The topic certainly was/is getting heated and has been appropriately moved so that folks that want to take part in a discussion such as this can choose to do so in a section for members 18 years and older. In the open forums we will continue to avoid topics like this. If you would like to try the premium section the cost is $6 per month or for $50 you can obtain access for a full year and receive $300 of SC cash. The money is used to keep our site going from a bandwidth perspective and help pay for the promotions we are doing (tournament & raffle), trust me the site is not making money at this time.

Bottom line. Most people do not come to this site to be involved in politics and arguing back and forth. Some do and we have a spot for them. I'm not letting this site get back to what it was in the early years, we are moving in a new direction now. The growth we have had supports this direction. This is a family site and fishing site first and everything else second.

I have a sticky now at the top called "NBC Thread" so people can take action and more people (non premium) can read what NBC did and decide if they want to take action. I will keep the back and forth down in its appropriate section. This will hopefully help accomplish W's goal and keep the site in the direction we are moving.
