My wife and kids joined me on the first trip before they leave for football camp in Orlando. 60 good trout, done by midnight. It was a blast.

We passed the HR&G Night Stalker on the way in and they appeared to be on the fish like they always are.

Not next weekend, my firm is having their annual fishing tournament in Grand Isle so I will be there from Wen through Saturday and then visiting family in Baton Rouge.

ckinchen 06-24-2011 09:24 AM

Just fishing with my lights only, reef fishing.

Wtret - Yes I guess thos white lights worked just fine after all. If it is good enough for HR&G it is good enough for me.

Yes it usually takes 30 minutes to an hour when we go before the fish start going into attack mode.

That's perfect!! Got time to relax a little and have a few drinks......also, WL&F isn't out at night, so you don't have to worry about miss counting!!!

When we stopped fishing last night and turned off the lights it was still every cast and was getting better. We left them biting.

I have never left a basketball court without making my last shot. Even if I missed the last shot of the game, I would go and shoot a layup after the game. I don't know why, same thing I guess.

However there have been plenty of trips in which I was hoping for that first "make" or trout so you have not choice but to not catch. I guess there is always sheepshead, drum and catfish.

calcutta37 06-24-2011 10:56 AM

so when you gonna let me and baybolt try that light set up on our haynie hint hint..

Oh no, I was average at best. See the last part "layup". It was is a superstution thing for me. Usually there was someone better on my team to take the last shot.

Yeah....he got me thinking hard on doing the same type of setup. A podna of mine just got a 20 foot fisher pontoon givin to him and he is a electrician. Only problem is it does not have a motor on it.
