Vacation Input
Alright people, need help on 2 things...one, best friend is having a b-day in December and doesn't want to stay in town cuz her husband is threatening to embarrass her if she does...wanting to go somewhere fun, not too terribly far, and don't cost an arm and a leg, for about 3-4 days...any suggestions???
Also, me and hubby planning a vacay for end of January, first of February for 5-7 days, that will also not cost an arm and a leg...I've got lots of places in mind, but can't come to a decision...Let me know any places ya'll might could think of...wanting to go the caribbean preferably, but if something jumps out there as fun, I'll bite... Thanks in advance! |

what about going snow skiing?? |
Sean's dad suggested that, but I'm from Louisiana....I don't like the cold unless it involves hunting...I like the snow for like 4 hours then I'm like "Hot cocoa and brandy please."...:D

you can still get buck wild on winter break...less standing in line...:D and no drunk college guys acting like complete morons...
|
Belize, Amergris Caye, or Mexico's Mayan Riveria....wait until December when that swine flu kicks up again, the place will be deserted.
We went down there during the last scare and absolutely had the place to ourselves.:D |

Perdido Key, Fla. is not like the spring break places in Fla.
Seaside and Seagrove, Fla. are not either. Lood up 30-a.com on the internet, then click the links at the top. Good food, very quiet places. No high rise buildings either. |

That movie Truman(with Jim Carrey) was made in Seaside. The town has brick streets.

we're gonna do a Florida road trip in may...try to visit as many places as possible
|
Colorado and New Mexico are very dry..............You can wear shorts and t-shirt in winter and not freeze....I lived there for the winter in 97...Just a heads up...............That's where I'd go.....Tim

Went to jamaica this spring, best vacation Ive ever been on. Went to the bluefields bay villas. They have a website you can check out. Of course its not the cheapest thing in the world, but it was about the same cost as disney this past fall. THis is five star all the way.You have your own driver pick you up at the airport, drive you to the south side of the island where you arrive at your private villa, private beach, and are waited on hand and foot. You have your own driver to drive you wherever you want any time you want,a full staff of chef waiter, butler, maid, gardener. Three full course meals a day served on your outdoor veranda overlooking the ocean, beautiful sunsets, messages in your room that opens to the ocean. wonderful experience, didnt want to come home. We also hired a local fisherman to come pick us up in his boat at our beach and take us about 8 mi. out and deepsea fish. Will definately go back as often as we can.
