my ruger LCP stolen...
Got to fill out my first police report for a stolen firearm Friday! :pissed: Cop was very nice though. I'm usually pretty good about taking it out of my truck when having vehicle serviced, but forgot it in the wife's car after a vacation and she brought it in, and we got it back, and no more pistol. :pissed:

That sucks. My Bro-in-law had a .38 stole out his truck the night before easter morning. Terrible how some people have absolutely to remorse for their actions.

And of course when you say something they point to the "not responsible for stolen items" sign.......I hate That crap!! One of your employees is gonna steal from my car and you aren't responsible!!!??? Makes no sense
|
My gun never leaves my side when my truck is in the shop. I have a quickdraw holster for it, and when its in, its on my side until the truck gets back in my hands. Which is perfectly legal if its not concealed.
|
Oh, and that blows. Freaking nerve of people.

Well I had a few stolen over the years the best you can hope for is the thug that stole it don't leave it were a young one can get to it and maybe he might try quick draw and shot him self
|
Thats why I take EVERYTHING out of my vehicles if they get dropped off for serviceing. Dont trust nobody! We work hard for EVERYTHING that we have.

Chas, you push the issue with the dealership? I bet they will cover it if you do.
|
Yes try that. Also, lets stay on topic for once.

Gun found!
Got a call from dealership today. Gun was found! Story I got was service manager saw it and took it out and locked it up, but then forgot to stick it back in vehicle when they were done.
I didn't ask any questions, just glad I got it back. Now have to follow up with LCPD to let them know gun is recovered. |
Good deal! Bet you feel better!
|
That's good you got it back!!! That story from the service manager sounds like bull though.
|
If one of his guys stole it and he caught em with it, he wouldn't admit it. It detracts from their CSI and customer trust. Just about assure you though that whoever may have had it was run smooth outa the place!
Regardless, like you said, at least you got it back! |
Were you dealing with the cops at the dealership? If so, I call B.S.!!!! He would have remembered real quick when they rolled in
|
No cops came to my house to file report. Still fishy, but I don't care.
|
I forgot my Judge in my truck last time I dropped it off at Acadiana Ford.
The sales lady who sold me the truck 13 years ago called and said she put it in the dealership safe, and for me not to forget to ask her to give it back to me when I pick up the truck. She found a Salty Cajun fishing towel in the back seat and it was wrapped up in that towel when she returned it. |

You'll leave that dude alone. He is busy! He is building a carvette, degreasing his truck, reporting people to border patrol, fighting fleas, defending our country, putting pipes on his truck, planning fishing trips, and catching at least one fish a day while packing heat! LMAO!!!!

Glad someone got a "Come to Jesus" meeting at the dealership. Got to figure the small size of the gun and brain of the perp had something to do with its disaperance. Maybe that's why they probably would never think of jacking with my smith, very hard to shove it in yo pants and walk away without a limp.;) |

2nd amendment rights. Anyone over 18 can carry a pistol in plain sight without a CC as long as its always visible. I left it at home that day. Its perfectly legal, a PD got sued when they arrested a man for wearing one in plain view for violating the man's 2nd amendment, he won. |

Open carry is legal but not smart! you can't walk in a bank, government building, place of worship or any place that sells alcohol, if are intoxicated at or over .05% bac you can be charged with a illegal weapons charge. Best part is since you are not legal age to buy a gun who ever bought you that gun did a straw purchase, which was illegal! also if you are going to carry a gun, you better know the aggressor law, which pretty much states the aggressor can't claim self-defense, which pretty much explains why a lot of people go to jail for murder when they think they are defending themselves! if your gonna carry you better know LA R.S. 14:18- 14:22. word for word. |

I didn't cut and paste, this is all knowledge, I carry a gun, I reload, I studied the criminal justice system , learned constitutional law, civil rights, case study. I've studied criminology, victimology, crime scene processing, criminalistics, and a list of other cj subjects. which have helped me in no way in life, other than I have an interesting degree that I don't use!

Only time I've actually had to almost pull it out was when some *****s were trying to break in and steal stuff from my brother's house about 6 weeks ago before we went fishing the next morning. We had a off duty deputy sherriff join us (me and my brother) who heard the comotion in a foot race through a field to try and catch the *****s. They got away by running faster than us and into the projects. The on duty sherriffs did come and file a report about 10 minutes later and all they did was ask my age and ask to run the numbers which I agreed to as its been done twice before. They caught the *****s about 2 weeks ago trying to break into some people's house down the street with a 12 gauge (and thats mostly why I own it). Now if we would have actually caught the guys without the sherriff, would I have done something stupid if they were unarmed? No. Now if they were armed and pointed a weapon in my direction and fired, then things would have been different. Never fire unless fired upon. |

YES THEY DO! and no, that aint self defense, unless you like dying! ONCE SOMEONE TAKES A GUN OUT OR ANYTHING THAT IS REASONABLY ABLE TO CAUSE DEATH OR GREAT BODILY HARM, AND THEY INTEND TO DO BODILY HARM TO YOU, OR SOMEONE ELSE, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO DEFEND YOURSELF OR SOMEONE ELSE WITH FORCE AS LONG AS THEY ARE STILL THE AGGRESSOR, IF THEY BACK OFF, ONCE YOU PULL OUT A GUN (OR WEAPON) AND APPROACH THEM THEY ARE NO LONGER THE AGGRESSOR. |
Never fire unless fired upon???
Pull a gun on me or my family and I WILL fire first. |
