common courtesy at boat ramps.

This is not it. http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i7...LOLBOATASS.jpg

Especially when people have to circle around you. Dude had to go around, hopped the curb on his boat and got stuck...then red wanted to roll by and offer a strap lmao. Some people.

Finfeatherfur 07-10-2011 09:20 AM

Don't get me started!!!!!!!!!!

longcast 07-10-2011 11:28 AM

The dude in the red trick is a complete *******. Cal point was just q cluster you know what yesterday. Guys in deck boats can't get loaded and everyone just pulled up on started straping there boats down and blocking the launch. One guy had to wiggle his way through to load his boat. Pull to the parking lot you fn idiots.

Jason, you had a bad experience yesterday? ;)

BIGJ 07-10-2011 11:40 AM

This is the dumbest thing ever at Cal. Point. People stopping in front of the launch after they load there boats. There must be 10 more acres to just pull out the way and pack up.

1fastmerc 07-10-2011 11:46 AM

When we was loading our boat in Moss Bluff we had one blocking the ramp strapping down their boat. Then when my wife was fixing to pull out from the launch some dumb idiot pulls in front of us to get his boat ready and wait on his family to meet him. I had to really bite my tongue as we had to go out the opposite side we was suppose too. I really don't understand some peoples thinking.

booyagasha 07-10-2011 11:46 AM

if no one ever tells em anything, how they ever gonna know?

thats a nice launch btw

Hahaha. I did have a bad day on the water yesterday. I would have rather worked. The launch just toped it off. It was not my boar that went over the curb but I watched it happen. I would have flown off the handle has it been mine. I was not in the mood yesterday. Lol

elebouef 07-10-2011 11:55 AM

That picture reminds me of what Hitler and Shorty thinks their old dock looks like.

Sea-Trac Offshore 07-10-2011 12:13 PM

Gotta love the weekend warriers. Public launches are the best though. Sit back and watch pure ignorance unfold. My favorite is to watch boats being loaded on a trailer with heavy cross wind. Yeehaw!!!

Montauk17 07-10-2011 12:17 PM

He didn't want to get his clean truck dirty in the gravel. I hate that bs too,I would have told him something. F em

Wide Open 07-10-2011 01:57 PM

I've already pulled out of many boat landings, a block or so away to strap down just to get away from the yoyo's who cant load unload or back up their tow rig. I realize everyone has to learn somewhere or somehow, but the lack of common sense in todays society is freekin sickning.

Big Kahunaz 07-10-2011 02:11 PM

...maybe some of you w/ high blood pressure need to rethink the whole reason 99% of us fish. It's definitely not for a living (this should lessen boater's rage) but the enjoyment of getting away from everyday tasks to spend a day on the water catching fish. Knowing its a Saturday, its expected that people of lesser experience are out and about. I had boats running near me and paul all morning. a fellow shut his motor down right next to our boat w/in casting distance and ole paul was w/in 5 ft of his boat w/ his topwater...but why let the ignorance of one man ruin my day? I knew what i was in for going on saturday....and if its the only day during the week i can fish...you bet your azz i'm gonna put up w/ it and have an awesome day! I actually contributed to congestion at the ramp for a solid 3 minutes while i got my chest out of my boat to clean fish. OOOPS!

fishinpox 07-10-2011 02:13 PM

Lol I could hear bob hollering at someone last weekend in the Venice in the parking lot when he went to get the truck

LPfishnTIM 07-10-2011 02:13 PM

hey, I've watched people tell there friend "hey we are blocking the landing" and I've heard replies like "they'll get over it". but this crap goes on at every boat launch in America if there isn't someone there to direct traffic.

scott craft 07-10-2011 02:19 PM

One of the benefits of shift work is minimal Saturday fishing trips. Common sense and courtesy is going by the wayside.

Leaving alligator park earlier this week I had to sit and wait a good 15 minutes while three guys tried to get their really nice boat on the trailer. The guy driving the boat ended up turning the boat sideways in the boat ramp not once or twice but three times. To top it off they were from texas.

For something like that it's or only for a minute or two is understandable, but to strap your boat down, clean your boat, etc.............is not understandable. I've been going to public boat launches since I was five yrs old. My dad taught me how to be considerate at an early age.

Big Kahunaz 07-10-2011 02:40 PM

yeah....no one was behind me ...or woulda got the hell outta the way...im just trying to get people who are *****ing to realize what they are there for .....guarantee any of you on here would give anything to wait in line on that new guy or idiot if you didn't have another day to fish...;)

Does it have anything to do with the pink boat, maybe? ;)

mcjaredsandwich 07-10-2011 03:10 PM

I wouldnt have posted had a gentleman not got his trailer stuck on that big curb trying to get around. Had to help the gentleman unhitch, back up and drive off because of this yahoo. Those who cause problems for others shows true ignorance. If you strap at the launch at least amake sure there isnt a line of boats waiting on you.

Amen, brother!!! Anybody that lauches their boat expecting any different is setting themselves up for misery.....especially on Big Lake.

Hydro 07-10-2011 03:25 PM

Funny this topic came up, maybe there is something in the air as I am burned out on the Burned Out Bridge landing !!!

Yesterday morning, before daylight, some clown passes me up 500 feet from getting to the landing... Naturally there were three boats ahead of us which took 10-15 mins to launch, which gave me plenty of time to give the cat who cut me off the evil eye while waiting...

After fishing I was greeted by the customary family of crabbers who have ten lines out, two of which are drifting thru the launch itself just waiting to be sucked into my propellor, the others dangling off the cleats where I am attempting to tie up...

You just cant fix stupid ...

X2 that's y I make sure to get there about 5am to beat all the knuckleheads. Not everyone is fortunate enough to fish during the week. Thursday morning some guy had his boat backed in and kept screaming "it's stuck, it's stuck." he couldn't get it off trailer. I put my boat in and was just laughing. Come to find out, he forgot to take his straps off the back. Then I ended up having motor problems and had to head in around 8am. Guess I shouldn't have made fun of him. :(

For shootout, I stayed at Heberts all weekend. Was first boat to launch sat morning. Get back around 2pm slap worn out only to see that some dummy parked directly behind me and I couldn't get out. Someone had already put a note on his windshield simply reading "dumb$&@" the guy that sales the live shrimp at Heberts came up and helped my cousin and I slide my trailer over and hooked it up to his truck and he pulled it over the curb for me and I was able to weasel my truck out.

I have wanted to blow up on people plenty of times at the boat launch and on the water but do my best to keep my cool cause I know they are just trying to have a good time.

Nasty 07-10-2011 03:41 PM

I agree with all the clueless pilgrams at the launches and on the water. But, I don't let that get me upset. I just don't think it makes any sense to get all pissed off over some fish or getting out/on the water quickly. I just try to give them advice to fix/improve their ignorance. Family comes first... job/pleasure is secondary.

mcjaredsandwich 07-10-2011 03:48 PM

I feel bad for the gentleman we had to get unstuck. Thankfully he didnt have axle damage but very well could have. All the red truck had to do was move down another 100feet and everyone could have been enjoying themselves. It is all about pleasure and enjoyment on the weekend. But when people get stuck or have problems resulting from blantant disregard for others, it dumbfounds me.

Keywest18 07-10-2011 05:47 PM

we have a single ramp boat launch at a bayou i used to fish.parked my truck right by it couldnt miss it.some dude in a jeep decided to park and block about 3-4 ft of it.luckily i was in my sonoma and not my z71.after about 20minutes i maneuvered and got my boat out.still trying to figure out how my leftover bait ended up under his backseat though

Lake Chuck Duck 07-10-2011 05:49 PM

The guy in the pic wasn't even the worst one. He was just the one that caused an accident.

I know what you mean . I guess they cant read the signs saying no fishing from dock ,or the ones telling you where not to park. I cut leftover crab lines of the dock on tuesday because it was terrible, I mean how hard is it to cut them off when your done. Then they act like they cant believe your gonna make them move to launch or dock . I guess I was just raised different.

The BOB is a trashy hole of a launch which is too bad, the crap people leave behind is unreal.... There is no way to try to reason with the type of character that leaves his trash behind for others to deal with...

My wife put it best when she said "they have nothing to loose", sad but true...

I launched out of Nibletts this Am and started fishing North for a change of scenery...
